Lived in Pacifica when it was called Sharp Park back in the 1950s. Lived at 115 Paloma and went to the elementary school a block away.

Great Video, amazing how the area around Beach street and the promenade remind one of SoCal. Other areas more a shanty.

It is a pretty seaside town but the ocean has almost taken all your beaches.

Thanks Paul for the amazing video! Pacifica is a beautiful area of the Bay area. I live in Daly City, but thinking of moving to these apartments. Driven by them many times. Do they have balconies overlooking the ocean? Do they have any extra storage options? I love the outside, driven by many times. So close to the beach which i LOVE!

This is seriously incredible!!! My mom, brother and sister and I used to live in the Exact same apartments where the video starts!! We lived there when I was in the 4th grade(I'm in my 2nd year of community college now in Yucaipa Ca) this video brought back a lot of nostalgia :)

This also brought me back memories. I lived in Pacifica from 2010 - 2014 (I live in Las Vegas, Nevada rn) but just seeing how much has changed and seeing my old elementary school was just such a sight for me.

I lived there on Paloma in Sharp Park (that's what it was called) in the 50s. No pier at that time.

Hi Paul ! Great Aerial Video. Im going to visit Pacifica from Oct 4th to 12th 2018. I´m from Germany, about 10 000 km away . Can you Show me a view from Heathcliff-Drive down to the beach ?
    Thanks a lot. Kornelius

    • @adrianmettz7463

You cannot see the pier of golf course or surf from Heathcliff but you can see water and a huge green valley. You can also see where the missile silos were...till the eighties...there is a trail there now...right before he lands he is facing heathcliff...on the top of the hills...

      Hi Adrian,
thanks for your reply. I´m almost back to Germany, but had plenty of opportunity to face Heathcliff Drive, because I walked it up from the beach once or twice a day. That felt like a 5k - jog and improved my endurance.
Which Kind of Missiles were positioned in the Silos ? ICBMs, I guess, heading east for Russia or China. Fortunately they never took off, maybe just because they existed.
Keep on posting your footages !

My wife lived there before we met. It's an area that has a large migrant Samoan and Pacific Island population. It's a pretty rough area.

@@jamesdewer I walked the Streets of Pacifica by the beach for seven days, asking myself, where all those people might come from. I saw plenty of faces, that looked all, but familiar. My first impression: I´m only just taking a look into my own future, over here in Germany. No, in fact it´s even worse already, much worse than at Pecifica, where I witnessed no kind of violence. We, in Germany have plenty of african and arab so called migrants and rufgees. In fact they are illegal invaders, attracted by our own German government, namely the cancellor Merkel. To hell with her. We have mortal knife stabbings almost every day, rapings in open daylight and many other forms of brutal migrant violence against Germans, all over the country. No one cares, press is whitewashing most of the crimes., or turning it down. And if you name it, you´re called a NAZI and a racist, by our green and left-wing politicants and their accessorys.
It´s not that bad in Pacifica, I guess. It can´t be. My opinion:
Trump is no likesome kind of president, but he´s a patriot. That´s what counts most.

@@dbarron4294 Yes I do like it a lot, it depends where you want to go, if you want to go to the back of the valley you normally get a pocket of sunshine when near the beach is foggy or sunny most of the time.. if you’re talking about the manor side of Pacifica I don’t live there and I don’t really know but I think it’s good overall, I personally think the weather on the Linda mar side is always nicer then the manor side. Also I wouldn’t really overestimate the beach, cause the waters cold and kinda nasty

@@dbarron4294 also there is some really nice hiking trails on the Linda mar side unlike the manor side with less options. I don’t really know about the extra storage options but I do believe the apartments are a bit pricy just like most in the Bay Area, cause the amazing views and if you’re talking about the manor side I think you’ll get less of them
