As amazing of a massacre Ryuga vs Damian would be, we kind of already got that with Kyoya and that battle was amazing. Seeing arguably the best written MFB character psychologically break down this so called "Gatekeeper of Hades" was so satisfying to witness. Bro literally shattered the realm of Hades and then ANNIHILATED IT!!!
Yeah Damian was a fraud. The power creep in the last stretch of metal masters was insane tho.
power scaling is a bit weird in metal masters. Gingka vs Kyoya match ended in a tie, so we know at that point in the series they have pretty much equal strength. Gingka won against Damian but it took nearly all his power to do so, after which with the data collected from Pegasus and Ldrago, Damian got much much stronger but Kyoya beat him much more easily than Gingka did.
But ginga only tied with kyoya due to plot armor. If you watch the fight, ginga was getting his ass kicked the whole time
@@jasonmoukala8909 Honestly, I hate the term 'Plot Armor' so much because it sounds like an excuse for people to hate on the mc compared to their favorite character but in this case, I agree. There was no conceivable way Gingka should've won that fight.
@@HelloSayEm6I think that it wasn't plot armour. We all know that the blader's spirit is what ultimately matters in the Metal Saga. Gingka also had a legendary beyblade. His main challenge was mastering it. Also, what about the fact that Gingka is frequently weakened by the plot just so that the battles can last longer? Which fight has he won quickly (other than minor ones)? Gingka did break through Kyoya's special move without using a special move himself. Even if Kyoya allowed it to happen, it doesn't change the fact that Gingka had the strength to do so. I wrote a lengthy comment about this that may be appropriate here:
Thoughts on the battle:
A point that is frequently brought up is that Gingka was not in control of most of the fight and was always one step behind. This would have been a compelling argument had this been an exception to the norm. However, Gingka is nerfed at the beginning of every single battle so that the battles can be exciting to watch. There's not a single battle I can think of (barring, perhaps, a few minor ones) in which Gingka was dominant from the get-go. Does that imply that Gingka was weaker than all of those bladers but somehow managed to win in the end? At one point of time in Metal Fusion, the same Gingka who had defeated 100 bladers (a feat that couldn't be accomplished by anyone other than Ryuga) and Kyoya was apparently about to lose before he used his special move against Kenta (the same Kenta who was struggling to win a regional tournament and did not even possess a special move). I shall discuss this further later on.
I don't think that Gingka's tie with Kyoya was rigged/due to plot armour. Gingka possessed a legendary beyblade, and when we are using a word like "legendary", it obviously has at least something to do with power. The beyblade was calling out to Gingka, so there was a natural bond between the two that needed to be refined, which is what Gingka did. He almost immediately unlocked a new special move after losing once to Masamune. The blader's spirit reaches the peak of its power through the power of friendship (which is what happened during Gingka's battle against Rago). The series does a good job telling us how significant it is through the battle in which Kenta is able to push Reiji back and make him feel concerned with a half-broken beyblade and no new special move. Gingka's ability to form deep bonds was so highly developed that he felt the misery of Leone at a time when Kyoya failed to do so. Gingka knew that his loss would mean the end of all of their efforts and attempts to work together. I don't find it surprising that his willpower, his love for his friends, and his legendary beyblade were powerful enough to tie against Kyoya. Plus, it's not as if Gingka wasn't able to compete at all before he got stuck by Kyoya's special move. He did break through Lion Gale Force Wall fairly easily. Even if Kyoya wasn't worried, I don't think that he would have intentionally weakened the intensity of that attack. He likes to fight directly and doesn't believe in playing mind games. Also, it is worth highlighting the fact that Gingka's spirit was always amongst the most powerful ones in the series. This is why the Dark Nebula used him to awaken Ryuga.
One could argue that Gingka was always one step behind, but was this only the case in this battle? Remember the plot chains I mentioned earlier? Gingka was even one step behind Yu when they battled in Battle Bladers even though Gingka had already seen Yu struggle against an incomplete version of Stormbringer. Yet, he still waited a long time to use that move (or even attempt to use it). What about the fact that some of his extremely powerful abilities were never shown/used again in the show? He defeated Phoenix after using the moves of his friends that he had learnt through battling them. We never saw this again. Similarly, he used a mini vacuum against Yu in Battle Bladers, but this was never seen after that battle either. Hence, the limitations placed on him by the plot shouldn't be ignored.
The crux of the matter is that Gingka was just introduced as an extremely powerful blader whose strength comes less from the physical aspect of the world he inhabits and more from empathy, having fun, and love. The last element is what takes the power of the spirit to its limit, which is why he is able to often come out on top. One could fault the plot itself for primarily highlighting these themes, but this would still not imply that Gingka's victory was due to "plot armour". Plot armour refers to the phenomenon in which a character is saved from danger in a way that doesn't seem rational within the logic of the world they inhabit for the sake of the plot. The key words here are "within the world". It's not as if the blader's spirit, the legendary beyblade, the power of friendship, or Gingka making a comeback at the end occurred only in this battle. They have been present throughout the series. To me, it is crystal clear that Gingka is meant to represent a contrast to characters like Ryuga and Kyoya. While they become powerful through focusing more on physical strength, Gingka derives his power from seemingly insignificant sources such as love, empathy, and wanting to have a good time.

The manga goes even further than the anime when it comes to the power of friendship. In the manga, Gingka and Kyoya actually develop a special move together to defeat their opponents.
Also, the fact that Gingka beat Ryuga twice and Kyoya multiple times in the manga may have influenced the outcome of this battle as well. I just read the manga, and Gingka in the manga is almost unstoppable. All those people who complain about Gingka taking too long to finish his battles despite having powerful special moves will not find too many issues in the manga regarding this. But, again, I know that they had to make the battles enjoyable and gripping.
Having said all this, I recognise the fact that others may have a different perspective and lean more towards the physical side (in terms of training and technique), so the viewpoint that is contrary to mine is perfectly reasonable. I am just putting forward my thoughts. I am not here to invalidate/dispute anyone's view on this battle. I only desired to share my perspective as I know that it is a minority one. The beauty of art lies in its ability to be almost reconfigured through our perceptions.

The Julian vs Tsubasa battle ending in a draw would be crazy, but seeing Julian go near enough all out take some damage and beat Tsubasa would be amazing so he would understand the threat.
Kyoya vs Julian or Deshaun would go crazy
Masamune vs Tsubasa would be a good battle
Also, something I forgot to mention is that Dashan is cooked against Nile (especially in Metal Fury). Furthermore, Klaus gets mid-diffed by Nile.
I kind of do wonder what would have truely happened in the tsubasa vs kyoya fight had the dark power stayed the hell out of it. Especially given how that match was set up way back before the quarter finals of battle bladers.
Kyoya would smoke tsubasa with or without the dark power.

I feel the reason why Kyoya vs Masamune did not happen in the anime is because the anime wanted to set up Masamune as a strong character while keeping Kyoya as a respectable rivalry that set up towards the Gingka vs Kyoya match. If Kyoya won, that set up Masamune as a joke permanently. If Masamune won, Kyoya would have looked weak and undermined his rematch against Gingka. Masamune and Kyoya do face off in the manga, but Kyoya and Gingka never fight in the world championship as they do in the anime so making Masamune the uncontested second best bladder made sense for the story as the manga only allowed two members rather than three members and a sub.
So, Masamune in Manga is better than the show? He is my fav tho.

2:44, Ryuga had two battles (don't forget the one with Zeo) and the plot would not make sense if Ryuga had beaten Julian at this point because this would have totally killed his hype for his match with Gingka. For me, they booked this scenario perfectly, everybody with even one brain cell would know that Ryuga would absolutely obliterate Julian and send him crying faster than Damian

Dynamis vs King full battle
I would have liked to see Phoenix (Ryo Hagane) vs Argo. I think it would definitely have been great to get some more going on with both of these characters. I think it would have been a bit closer than Tsubasa’s fight making it a nice back and forth to really show off both blader’s skills. More importantly I think it would be thematically interesting. You have Ryo who represents the system and the in group who has risen to a place of privilege against a man who was left in the cracks of the system and is desperately trying to claw his way out. It would be really interesting to see this dynamic as there is something sympathetic about it from Argo’s point of view with the premise I just outlined, so it would be interesting to see how this then turns as it really becomes about how Ryo is trying to save Argo’s blader spirit and amend how the previous system let Argo and his family slip through the cracks. I think Phoenix winning here and having Argo turn a new leaf and get employed by Ryo would have been a really nice conclusion to his story, and would have been a much better way of handling the Garcias rather than turning them into the series’ blandest B-list villains.
I agree this sounds perfect I wish it did happen, it would've been so nice to see argo and the rest of the garcias get redeemed and to see Ryo offer them a job and then maybe we would see them wearing their shogun steel outfits kind of like Hikaru with her outfit in season 2
Damian vs Ryuga edits still are classic. I also believe Dark Tsubasa should of been around even in Fury.

I really wanted to see Ryuga fight and absorb all of Tempo’s power like he did in the manga. Would’ve been badass, and a great foretelling for what would end up happening in Fury against Nemesis.
I think Julian vs. Kyoya would've been cool. They kind of have clashing ideals.

Would’ve love to have seen a tournament with every single character (that isn’t completely terrible) including the legendary bladers. Now I know it would be a drag but personally the amount of different fights we’d get with the stakes at an all time high would be absolutely amazinggggg
You know, I was just thinking about what if HD academy had other bladers besides Damian, Zeo, Jack, and Faust, like maybe that could have other strong bladers that were kept hidden from the public eye, such as a wendigo blader, chupacabra blader, and a werewolf or Orthrus (two-headed demon dog) beyblader who’s bey is an early test run of hades Kerbecs.
Ryuga also could have created a second special move to replace soaring destruction, as Supreme Flight clearly replaces soaring bite strike, which would obliterate Hades City completely

@@Appiah7420 Argo was getting cooked by Yu’s Inferno Blast in Episode 97 and in the episode prior, Nile and Argo were clashing pretty evenly. If anything, that just shows how unbelievably cooked Argo and the rest of the Garcias are against Nile.

Edit: I feel like a lot of these comments are overrating Nile. Like okay he blocked Julian’s wack ass special move (he was already a confirmed a fraud at this point) anyone of those bladers can block a special move when it’s a surprise attack.. example when kyoya destroyed hades gate in the middle of the city cuz it was a surprise attack but when he battle Damien it wasn’t that easy. All im saying it’s easy to block a move if it’s a surprise I mean shit even Kenta’s flame claw would’ve blocked black Excalibur in that moment 💀

Phoenix defeated the special moves of multiple strong bladers (including Gingka, Masamune, Nd Dashan) in Metal Masters. This was despite the fact that he was devoting most of his time to the WBBA. I don't think that it would be right to conclude from what Phoenix did that he was stronger than the combined might of all the bladers whose special moves he defeated.

Well Masamune wouldn't get completely cooked by Kyoya during the prelimnaries he'd still lose but it wouldn't exactly be a stomp in Kyoya's favor
Masamune would at least be stronger than normal Tsubasa but weaker than Dark Power Tsubasa
Masamune didn't struggle at all against Yu up until the very end where he let his guard down and he was still able to overpower Yu. Whilst Tsubasa didn't get pushed to Dark Powe mode against Yu but still had a rougher time beating him than Masamune did. So Masamune would most likely push Kyoya back more than Regular Tsubasa but still wouldn't be able to win. Masamune gets for real underrated in this fandom ngl. Like he was legit by the end of Masters relative to Gingka for sure and I can PROVE that. Also I feel Nile def wins against Julian and and if you'd like I can explain why. I love getting into disscussion about beyblade lol.
He is definitely underrated in many ways. He probably would have won against Zeo if he wasn't using the arrangements. Furthermore, he held his own pretty decently against Faust. I do believe that he wasn't at Gingka's level. This is because Gingka was able to successfully stand up to the power of the spiral force and absorb a significant amount of it even before Ryuga came to help him. Madoka had told him that Gingka needed to rise above the combination of L-Drago and Pegasus that was the source of the spiral force if he wanted to stand up to it (it should be noted that she didn't use the word "win" here, but "stand up", which means even having the ability to combat it at a somewhat equal level). Gingka himself said that he needed to rise above the power level he had when he faced Damian. Then, he launched Pegasus and Madoka was amazed to see that Pegasus was absorbing the spiral force. This showed that Gingka had succeeded in rising above the threshold.
