This is my baby sister Helen ,I found the letters and the photographs and it was me that made the call ,it’s the best thing that has happened . My mum also abandoned her other children including myself . It’s been extremely hard trying to work out the whys and the why nots in what my mum did ,both for Helen the other children ( the other children weren’t adopted but where left with my dad or grandparents). And it’s been an emotional rollercoaster at times But we are in contact and we have bonded and we see each other often ,and have shared holidays together. And chat on the phone fairly regularly ( I probably speak more to Helen than my other brothers or sister) . I hope one day Helen finds peace with the past as none of this was her fault . It’s just that our life’s cards don’t fall in the best way when we were young . All my love Helen . Your bother Jim x
