Thank you Hazel for sharing your deeply personal story through this reading. Your bravery and vulnerability shine through every word, and it's truly moving to hear. Your courage in sharing such experiences not only helps others feel less alone but also fosters empathy and understanding on such an important subject.
Truth is the daughter of Time. ( so, with time, truth will eventually show itself) So. Proud of you Hazel love & trust yourself always, thank you for sharing your story. Great big hug for you dear lady. Kx
Thankyou Lara for reading Hazels story ,and Thankyou Hazel for sharing your experience and being able to express your feelings and how being adopted has shaped your inner world . I find it quite remarkable that you already seem to have such insight and understanding around the impact of adoption at such an early age ,I myself had no idea why I was so angry ,acting out and seeking comfort through all kinds of addictions. Thankyou again ,and best wishes for you in the future , Nick ( fellow adoptee ) .
You are a very intelligent, self aware and resilient young lady Hazel. For somebody of your age to show the courage and emotion you have here, tells me you will achieve alot in the future and live a beautiful, tremendous life. Time is on your side and keep listening to your own heart, gut and natural intuition. Find the voices and hearts out there, that share equally and honestly with you, as you do with them. This maybe a life long journey, but never be intimidated by this, at your age. All our bumps and bruises make us all quite interesting and special people. I wouldn't ever speak for all adoptee's or people who have lost important figures in their lives too young. However i think the recurring subjects of loneliness, secrets, not belonging, unfilled holes deep within ourselves, or the unfulfilling nature of "normal society", whether it be education, work, career, hobbies/activities, relationships or friendships, within or outside the family home, are all things that we adoptees can relate to at some point on our individual journey's. Nothing is certain or forever though. We do have the power to change our own circumstances. We can make our environments products of ourselves. Not the other way around! We hold the keys to our own destiny and our own destinations. Keep the faith and trust your instincts. Hone your already excellent abilities and talents and you will grow into everything you desire. As the years roll on, the experience you will acquire will reinforce your confident, steadfast character. Thank you for commenting upon my story recently. It touched my heart that you would listen and take the time to write a message! You are my inspiration because i wish i had some of your strengths and characteristics in my teenage years. I want to give you two things today. Firstly an article. Type into a search engine, "Happy Adoptee, Julie A. Rist". I found this late last year when i typed "adoption" and "people pleasing" into google. It may provide some avenues or ideas for you upon your continuing journey. Finally i want to share a song called "miracle mile" by the Cold War Kids. Especially the final lines.... "Get outside, get all over the world and hope you learn to love what you get in return It may be a problem, and it may be peace of mind Put your head down, down and breathe one breath at a time, so ..." Keep dancing. Listen to all types of music. Move and feel free as a bird. Never give up. Don't let anybody deter you from what YOU want to do. Thank you so much again. Communication as a skill sets us free. Hope i am not out of line and please take care of yourself always. Sebastian🙂✊✌
