Great video and correct information. Very helpful for the new comers interested in investing or even buying for themselves. We were in the same boat 3-4 years ago. That is very correct that you buy old and renovate even though you don’t know much about renovating. It’s an very informative project. Might make some mistakes the first time but you learn a lot doing that process as it helps you choose good bones properties in future.

When u are taking loan from bank, doesn't the banks lawyer confirm if there is any encumbrance over the property? Do we have to hire another lawyer?

Two things uncovered in your video. You have not mentioned status of first time house buyer i.e Student, Work Visa, PR etc.
Second, you should give pics of kind of house, condo, flat etc. and price range of each kind of house.
As a father (from India) how can I help my son (presently on Student visa) to buy his house?
A person has to be a permanent resident in order to buy property in canada.
You can only help him with down payment once he gets permanent residency.
In Vancouver region condo will be bw $5,00,000 - 7,00,000
Townhouse near around $7,00,000 - 9,00,000
House above $10,00,000
