A bit late but i have to say that this video made me love isometric illustration and your comentary is so funny and entertaining, you are a terrific teacher
@@vemariska Hey! I didn't animate this one but I did create a tutorial on how to create an Isometric camera in After Effects a while back. It's this one: ruclips.net/video/6HHBjv0m-p4/видео.html Maybe that will help you :) I am planning on making some more isometric tutorials but haven't gotten around to it yet.
@@CampKeyframetutorials ok, thanks! I was curious about this one in particular, since I created this castle in Illustrator and wanted to know how to use that in After Effects :) But I'll check this one out, thanks!
Hi, really great tutorial! Learned a lot. Could you perhaps also make a tutorial on isometric objects that are not following the grid? For example objects that lean against a wall, or that consist of more complicated structures like for example an LC4 chaise longue?
Great idea! I wanted to do another isometric tutorial about some more difficult shapes so I will put it on the list. I'm very busy at the moment with client work so I don't really have time for the channel right now but soon I'll be back and this I'll definitely do! :)
Just a little too fast in some areas for me to understand what you've done/said, so I have to pause and go back constantly, but thank you for these tutorials; I am learning much.
The letter 'i' on the keyboard is the shortcut for the color picker tool. Press 'v' on your keyboard to go back to the selection tool. To snap to the grid correctly, the only thing you should do is turn on 'smart guides'. You can find this option under the 'view' tab (shortcut is cmd-u)
Thanks so much for your channel and tutorials! I'm doing right now this lessons. Did anyone had an issue with shapes not being snaped to the iso-grid that we drew in the beginning? Pen tool is not accurate enough to the guides...
hola! muchísimas gracias por este excelente tutorial. te quería pedir ayuda con algo: cuando toco un anchor point con the pen tool borra el anchor anterior pero veo que eso no te sucede ¿cómo puedo cambiar esa configuración? gracias!
Hey! I never use any 3D elements because I never learnt that. Maybe try Grey Scale Gorilla, they have a huge course to learn you a lot about Cinema 4D. There is also a tutorial from a while back from Mt. Mograph about Cinema 4D lite. You can find it here: ruclips.net/video/qfokEG9ycWc/видео.html Cheers!
@@treyhotard1245 Haha oh yeah. Thanks for watching :) Tomorrow I'll upload a new Isometric video that is part of a 4 part series on how to build an isometric city :) Cheers!
22:55 when i do the miniwall shorter it cannot snap me to the grid unless i'm in a intersection of it... how can i do that? 24:42 all those cracks i have that too, but all those allignments to the grid you do after don't function on my file... why?
Hey! Yeah a lot of times the snapping to the grid doesn't work, only on the intersections. Some of the stuff I replace here is just me trying to make it fit and align, so it's just by my eye and guesswork. You can also select the white arrow tool and move individual anchor points around to make it all fit. Don't worry too much about everything being absolutely perfect on the grid. If it looks good, it looks good ;)

Fantastic tutorial, definitely going to improve my work flow on illustrator. Thank you 🙏
Awesome! :) I just uploaded a new isometric video yesterday, maybe you'll like that as well :) Cheers!
it seems that you are expert thanks
Been loving these isometric tuts. Any chance you're going to have an episode where you bring it all into after effects and animate it?
Thanks :) Yeah I will start making new tutorials soon and I'll also do some Isometric animation :)

One of the early tips was make sure in the view menu that snap to pixel is turned off - could that be it?
hola! muchísimas gracias por este excelente tutorial. te quería pedir ayuda con algo: cuando toco un anchor point con the pen tool borra el anchor anterior pero veo que eso no te sucede ¿cómo puedo cambiar esa configuración? gracias!
I solved it: pressing shift during the click disables the option to delete the anchor
Nice video! Let me ask you, what configuration on Ai do you let on so that pink lines keep appearing and helping to reach the point you want?
Hey! Thanks for watching :) You can turn on 'smart guides' (it's under the 'view' tab or you can press cmd+U) cheers!
Reminds me of monument valley(puzzle game)
Yeah it's definitely inspired by that! :)
@@CampKeyframetutorials love your content man keep going
it´s an amazing tutorial, but whats happens to me is that the snapping is not really precise, there´s off with my Illustrator
merci beaucoup

Cómo se incluye una figura humana dentro de este tipo de ilustración vectorial isométrica?
I love it. Can you tell me the size paper? ^^
Hey thank! :) The artboard is 1920 x 1080 pixels.
@@CampKeyframetutorialsThanks so much! ^^
At 9:18 I don’t understand that? What did you do to make the window go right!?
I used the Isometric action I created in another video. You can watch it here: ruclips.net/video/RRzuMyJQnBs/видео.html
how to make grid like that?
Hi, do you use any 3d as part of your workflow? A series on Cinema 4d lite would be pretty cool. I can't seem to find many tutorials for it online.

is ur snap to grid on or snap to point? mine is not as precise and it wont snap to the grid
I actually have them both turned off. I use the smart guides so that way they snap to the grid.
Anyone having problems with gaps between objects?
