This is an easier way Same problem 5 - 2/3 Now the whole number 5 is equal to 5/1 so that means it's 5/1 - 2/3 Answer The lcm or lowest common multiple of 1 and 3 is 3 3 times 1 is 3 And 1 times 3 is 3 So that means 5 times 3 is 15 and 3 times 1 is 3 so 15 / 3 - 2/3 So it is 13 / 3. Another way easier way is 5 - 2/3 can be done like this Answer You multiply 5 and 3 and subtract 2 which gives you 13 and you just keep the denominator the same which is three which means 13 / 3 Hope that makes it easier . I am 12
why couldn't every teacher explain it this way and not a word and confusing shitty way. teachers these days make shit too complicated when they can just show the easiest way
it was hard to find how to subtract fractions from whole numbers. now its gonna be harder to find how to multiply and divide fractions from whole numbers. shit.
Thx now I know.. Anyway you should say that where did you get the Number 15 so I can know more about it . whatever I know how to get it. By the way Thank you Cause I got A+ on my Grades
Lets say you have 11 - 2/3. now all you need to do is find what you will divide by 3 and get 11 as answer with no fraction. so, here 33 is the number. now 33/3 gives you 11. If you understand this then, your work becomes 33/3 - 2/3. Using law of same denominator, it becomes 33-2/3 which will be 31/3. If you divide 31 by 3, it will be 10 (10 * 3 = 30 remainder 1). Therefore, your answer becomes 10 whole number 1/3.

Where did u get 15/3? You keep using vague methods and it's pointless making these videos if u think people will already know. Please explain everything in great detail!
This is an easier way
Same problem
5 - 2/3
Now the whole number 5 is equal to 5/1 so that means it's 5/1 - 2/3
Answer
The lcm or lowest common multiple of 1 and 3 is 3
3 times 1 is 3
And 1 times 3 is 3
So that means 5 times 3 is 15 and 3 times 1 is 3 so 15 / 3 - 2/3
So it is 13 / 3.
Another way easier way is 5 - 2/3 can be done like this
Answer
You multiply 5 and 3 and subtract 2 which gives you 13 and you just keep the denominator the same which is three which means 13 / 3
Hope that makes it easier . I am 12
Sorry it is 2 times 1 not 3 times 1
