What time of the year/weather would you say is best for trout fishing? Looking to fish mostly streams and maybe some lakes
At big bear or in general?
@@TroutWest In general, the Angeles and San Bernardino national forests.
I would say the best would be the fall or even winter depending on which lake you're talking about. The best for streams in the area is probably June depending on rain years and such
@@TroutWest Gotcha, thanks! Haven't fished for trout because I'm in the South Bay, so its a fair drive for me, but I do want to give it a go at some point.
Are you saying that perhaps in the spring, after some good rain, is a good time to try and go try fish some creeks?
Big bear is fishing the best... a lot of the park lakes are coming on line now too... Your closest would be santa ana river lakes,..or san diego lakes. There's a ton down there stocking decent numbers. Time the plants right.

I also refer people to your channel since I don’t know crap about fishing even though I grew up on the water in Newport Beach for my first 13 years and we had a 69 foot yacht in our dock in the backyard and two catamarans. And yes I don’t know anything about fishing but every single one of my friends loves to fish I guess I’m just too much of a wimp because I get sad seeing the fish dying I don’t know why I’m such a wuss. Lolol. Sounds good my dude! Peppercorn is a nice spot! We'll definitely have to get a crew together to shoot the shit sometime up on the mountain. I'll holler soon when I'm back in the area. I'm up in the sierra this coming week.. but i'll be back in BB soon enough. Look for the channel shouts in the next few days!
