- There are so many different species on this planet, and they in such incredibly different environments. We can refer to these regions as biomes, and we will want to learn the broad characteristics of each biome. What's the difference between a desert and a rainforest? Or a grassland and a shrubland? Let's get a closer look at these terrestrial biomes!

It’s important to note the worlds largest desert is also the coldest: Antarctica. 5.5 million square miles of cold and dry ice flats. Not a typical desert, but one nonetheless.
The world’s real largest desert, the sub surface.
Its also the driest. Antarctica has plenty of water in the form if ice but the relative humidity is usually around 1% since the extreme cold precipitates out most water vapour. For comparison the Sahara is around 10-20%
Always discussing the topics i like the most 🙏
I did not know I cared so much about biomes until you made a video about it.
Very informative. Thanks!
Another series I’m enjoying, your work is appreciated Dave.
that intro never gets old. 👌🥰
Please do an in depth video about why blue is rare in nature. Appreciate it.
Less frequent a tiny bit more in depth would be preferable to the audience, I think..as long as it doesn't involve advanced chemistry
I keep hearing stuff about how the solar flare is gonna kill the power grid. I'm honestly skeptical of any of the sensationalized predictions about it. Do you plan to cover this recent scare professor?
Thank you dave
The author of this video is a very cool person ulyana-nadia-horodyskyj
Sometimes biomes change abruptly enough that it will cut off a tree.
