Phil is Real…Got to have lunch with him years ago!
Praise his mightily name. I am asking everyone to please say a prayer for me and my family. We love the LORD. But we are fighting our own Goliaths..May you all be blessed!
The anointing on this song was so strong I had to sit down. I felt the beautiful, heavy presence of the Lord long after the song finished.
It's 1:26a.m this 4th day of July 2022, in Kampala, Uganda (E.Africa). I am in hospital waiting for my wife to give birth. Felt the leading to look for this song and I am now so encouraged. My wife just lost her mom and yet here I am challenged to give God all the praise, exalting him because He makes all things work together for the good. I am believing God for my wife to receive Strength to give birth in the midst of this contradiction of grief over losing her Mum yesterday and giving life to our 2nd born today. Let the Lord be exalted and magnified in our midst. LORD, I exalt thee, and I shall testify of your faithfulness.
It's 1:30a.m this 5th day of July 2022, and I am back to give God all the praise. My wife gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. The great and faithful God we serve has been very faithful, comforted my wife and gave her strength to give birth in the midst of the loss of her mother. We chose to exalt the Name of the LORD in the midst of the storm. Now, He has turned our mourning into dancing. I exalt thee oh LORD!
My wife eventually gave birth to a bouncing baby boy later that day. Baby and mother are fine, and the little one is already one month old today, the 9th day of August 2022, and in very good health. I kept replaying and worship in this song through out the trying time, and the Lord proved himself faithful. I exalted him, and I continue to exalt Him; He is my hero, and my closest friend. I Exalt Thee !

Yes, tremendously blessed, during Marcus's funeral, my soul was weeping deeply. And, yes, Phil Driscol ushered us all into the presence of God, directly into the throne room... My God, oh how (we) I love You! I must have replayed the homegoing over many times, blessed by the whole service. Joni and the family are in my prayers daily. Blessed by all the testimonies! And yes, without a doubt I know that brother Marcus is with Jesus! So glad that the Holy Spirit invited me to attend. Sincerely!

God bless this great music minister. I still have an old tape of Phil Discroll with his beautifully crafted signature, somewhere. I loved Jazz so early and listening to his instrumentation in worship was mind blowing. As a choir member, this track brings flood of memories to the days we had zeal for God but struggled to live a life of purity, and one which was truly pleasing to the Lord. Listening to it now, many years down the line, one feels blessed singing along those scripture inspired words, enwrapped in an atmosphere of pure worship and total surrender to our dear Lord and King.
Boy this brings back the memories. I first heard old Phil about 40 years ago. Him and Phil keagy were among my favorite. And can't forget like Petra. Man I wish I could go to some shows.

Got inspired to play trumpet 👏. This is the only person I’ve heard back then and now that I can say He’s still got it . His voice is still intact and he still got the vocals at his age and in the same key. Wow. And his trumpet skill can’t top that too. All glory to God. Very bless to still hear you on tv and interviews and RUclips still. Thanks for all you do in music preach and testimony. Many blessings Phil.

Yes! Agreed! I was 37 years old back then (going on 73 now), and we had six kids (ranging 2-19). We all used to go to every Phil Driscoll concert we could find near us, in California. We bought albums, and as one of our song leaders in our church, I introduced many songs like this to our members. One reason I loved his music so much, is that trumpet (cornet, actually) was my instrument going through high school. Plus my main love in life has always been singing. Then when I turned my life completely over to Jesus and found someone making music that went straight to my spirit, I wanted to hear as much as I possibly could. Just about a year ago, now, I bought myself a new trumpet...not a hugely great one, but I've been enjoying playing again. One of the songs that Phil used to play a lot was "Blow the Trumpet in Zion." I've been practicing that one again, now. Don't know if I'll ever play in public again, but, hey! Just making music between myself and God is great! Hallelujah! God is good!

I played worship music with Phil a couple of services back when I was just starting to play a full set drum kit... over 300 people there...I was nervous... but soo blessed. To God be the Glory forever and ever!!!
I have always loved this song from many years back. I've heard it sung by several. And they were brilliant. I've always liked Phil, as I bought his cassettes & CDs over the years. BUT!!!! When he sang this @ Marcus Lambs farewell. The anointing on Phil was electrifying, I was so emotional, every part of me was tingling. Such was the Presence of the Holy Spirit coming through the TV.

I watched this when he played it at the funeral and it was so much better. It just poured out of Phil with such emotion, it was absolutely beautiful! You could just feel the presence of the Lord. I’m sure our Lord and Marcus were hearing it in Heaven and enjoying every minute of it. At least that is the way it made me feel. I still listen to it, at least once a week.

I saw this man in California in the mid 80’s the Godly presence in that venue was incredible. To this day this is my all time favorite christian music.
