So funny, friends of ours had the same bassenet for their twin boys and loved it. The boys loved being able to smell and feel each other. And the parents loved the bouncing tool to calm them down. When they went on vacation, they took the bassenet with them because it's so easy to set up! And the boys never knew they slept somewhere else 😉Only downside was making the beds. That wasn't as easy as a normal crib. The boys are now 14 months so in normal cribs.
Love your bedroom. It's so tranquil. I hope the bathroom is finished before you deliver the boys!!

Aww thanks so so much and yes! So lucky! Though I'm afraid I may not be comfortable with anyone flying in come December. We will have to see how all of this goes.

I had my son on 23rd December 1997, so he spent his first Christmas in hospital! Santa still visited (the nurses were amazing) and it was an amazing gift for my mum as he was her first grandchild. I wish you every success with a safe delivery and can't wait to see the boys.

Your master bedroom has a very serene feel. And you are definitely right about the nightstands adding the perfect touch of warmth. I love the duvet cover! With the side lights on you can really see the quilting effect, it’s perfect! The beds for the twins is so unique. I’ve never seen anything like it! I love the gentle sway it has to hopefully help the babes self sooth. I’m very happy for your “helpers” arriving to give you time to put those swelling feet up! Take it easy Momma!

Hi you cute kids! I am an identical twin, born in 1956. I feel compelled to share a few twin stories with you - when mama was pregnant with us, she did not know she was having twins (can you imagine?). About a week before we were born, they did an x-ray because she was a tiny woman who grew so huge (yes,, an x-ray!) and a twin pregnancy was confirmed by two little skeletons! We shared a placenta. Luckily there were no adverse effects from the x-ray. We are "mirror twins, and we have very curly hair. They figured out we are mirror twins because my hair curls in the opposite direction of my sister's, which is only obvious because I have a huge widow's peak and she has none. I have other fun twin baby stories, but those are the two most relevant to now. At 64, we still look exactly alike but we have very different personalities. Our parents swore we were the easiest of their kids because we kept each other entertained. You have so much to look forward to! Enjoy these salad days, they'll fly by.

Funny story here as well, I am a twin and my mom didn’t know she was having twins until the day we were born 🤯 It’s always blown me away!
An x-ray at that time is not dangerous. You were both already formed so no risk of malformations. It was the way they had of diagnosis .

Do you guys call it “endtable” or “nightstand”?🤔
Depends on what room it's in...
Nightstand = bedroom
End table = living room/den
End tables are a different size than most nightstands. For example my end table is sort of square in shape and my nightstands are more rectangular like hers. If I tried putting my end tables next to my bed they would definitely look funny
Bedside in the U.K.
End tables are next to a sofa or chair, and they extend farther forward so that you can set down your book or whatever. Nightstands go next to the bed, and do not extend as far forward so that you have room for your legs as you into/out of bed. That's what I've always understood.

I just wanted to share some positive information!! December 21st is a sort of “portal” that only comes around every 20 years. The date comes every year but this particular December 21st is special! A “grand conjunction” is occurring. It’s said to be one of the most powerful days to manifest things such as health, money, relationships etc. It’s said what you manifest on this day is more likely to happen over the next twenty years if you take advantage! ❤️

My mom was 5 months pregnant when I decided to come into this world!! Times were different!! You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Love to all your family. It's too late now, but I saw a home reno video recently that gave product recommendations, and one item was: a skateboard. It's the best thing to sit on and paint your baseboards. I plan to use my heavy duty plant pot caddy + a cushion when I do mine. :D
You certainly have a relaxing, beautiful room, now go use it before the boys arrive lol !! I absolutely love what you've done, the bed hits you as you walk in, it makes you want to lay in the middle, close your eyes, do a big sigh, and just relax!! You hit the nail on the head, with the brief you gave yourself too :) That crib, oh that crib! wow I just think it's wonderful!! The changing unit too, its gorgeous, all of it !! haha I can't believe you've only 4 weeks to go as well oh my goodness!! That went so quickly!! That cradle is so wonderful! My boys are both in their 30's, and there was very little available to make life easier. My dad was a hobbyist wood worker and he built a beautiful cradle for them. That was such a luxury at the time because you couldn't buy one anywhere. It was a life saver!
PS there was also no such thing as a changing station. Like you I found a really nice basket which I still have.
