Having the dongle connect to two mouse is so convenient like accidentally having your mouse die while in the middle in the game and just having to pick one out without hassle is really great. Gonna try to snag the se as a back up mouse to my mchose a5 pro max and lamzu atlantis. Chinese mouse just keeps getting better. Haven't bought another logitech and razer mouse since the razer abyssus and g102.

Hey man loving the content you’re pumping out recently. I’m looking to upgrade my wired hyperx pulse fire haste to the dragonfly r1 but I’m not sure if I should get pro or pro max for games like valorant and csgo. Thanks alot for these videos they help me out a lot !
i also had a pulsefire haste. lookup atk x1 it's the newest iteration of the moba and will be out in a few weeks

@@requiem.-. pro is lighter and 5% nicer clicks. Pro max got double batt life and color options
If the pro max feet appear faster because the mouse is spinning more, that might be because of the heavier weight of the pro max which gives it more momentum during the spin especially if the larger battery's gravity centre is more towards the back..
the r1 pro rotates a bit less when you spin it because it is lighter, the r1 pro max is slightly heavier, hence it has more momentum and spins a little longer...

Hey, im planning on buying the R1 Pro. Do you know if the mouse can do 2k polling rate without the 4k dongle ? I don't really care about 4k, but 2k can be nice to have in case i get a better monitor later and i need the extra (small) precision.
no it can't - because a 2K dongle does not yet exist, it also cannot connect to the existing 4K dongle
Hey man, great review! (I came here off the back of your Reddit review) I'm thinking Pro or Pro Max - but (and I know this is slightly out of your wheelhouse) I'm mainly getting this for cad / office work.
I'm done with the cheaper options from mainstream manufacturers - their switches die so quick.
What do you think would be better in terms of switch quality / reliability? Pro or Pro Max? Do they have a similar amount of travel / Which out them are less stiff?
Also, are both of these Bluetooth? Some of the documentation I've read online say that Bluetooth is just for the R1/SE

Pro and Max have same actuation feel even tho they are different switches.
Only R1 and SE series have BT connectivity. In terms of reliability I think the failure rate would be the same as any other mfg, although i've not experienced any issues. I have 'heard' of failures 3rd hand when viewers notify me that they also 'heard' there's a failure issue.

which one feels better when clicking or have better switch? R1 PRO or the PRO MAX? I have dragonfly f1 moba before that use huano blue shell pink dot and I love it so much, any of these two can compare close to it?

Hey man, great video! I was really looking for some "test" on the coating. I have sweaty hands too and I've seen that the SE version doesnt have the coating, its just plastic. How do you compare both of them after use?
i'm fine with coating vs non-coating. I too have really sweaty hands and fingertips.
you can always use side grips if they become an issue. I felt like i needed grips on the white pro max but not on the black pro and white SE.
There was no definitive test i could conjure up because i find it quite subjective and it would also depend on the temp, humidity and time of day

Hi man, liked the video but I was just wondering, how has it been after some use? Is the quality still fine? I’ve seen a few people saying that their vxe r1 have had some issues with the clicks after a few weeks. Thanks!
i own 5, the only real issue i had was with the white R1 SE (i made a video about it). It came out of the box with a high spot at the bottom and terrible click feel on M2 where there was a pop sound. Still useable but annoying.
But if you bought any of the Pros I think the QC standards are a bit higher and they work like new

How long would it take to get fully charged? Also for a rechargeable mouse, do I just plug in the cable to my mobile charger and that'll be fine to charge the mouse?
yeah any usbc can charge it but sometimes these mouse makers design the port in a way only the cable that came with the mouse will fit.
Awesome video! Would you say that the pulsar x2 skates can fit onto this mouse?
i've seen some people install superglides from a X2 and they seem to fit on the other hand i've seen some people say they aren't 100% exact fit idk for sure now.
I've tried installing X2 skates. The shape is the same but the X2 skates are a bit smaller than the R1 ones, so they won't 'fill in' the entire skatespace if that makes sense.

I have some troubles with the 4k hz . At the first time it worked well but then the polling rate down around 2000-2500 cam't even reach 4k even i turned the 4k mode on this still stuck
test the polling with razer tool you can download for free.

Would you recommend to get this or the Pulsar X2v2? Just wondering if the pulsar premium is worth it since theyre both similar shapes.
i would pick this because x2v2 got a lot of complaints on RUclips videos with sticky triggers etc.

I have a little sweaty hand. So should I go for the black version or white version. Is the coating different in white version of the r1 pro?
because they have a coating, the color or color pigment didn't make any difference. i used lizard skins on the side for the white one and no grips on the black one. I enjoyed the grips more although it's not 100% necessary.
Always go for white version for any uncertainty.
Does the white and black one have a similar feeling coating?
yes even the yellow one feels the same, but the black one shows the smudges and oils from your hand very obviously and this means you have to wipe/clean it daily
is the op1we worth it to get over the r1 pro? or is the shape not that different
op1we is a narrower grip(53mm) and lower trigger(18mm). R1 is 59mm grip and 20mm trigger.
Both are great and different form each other

yeah the battery for 1K will last over a week so this is great
The extra weight will cause the pro max to spin a bit longer
Is the base completely flat? I had gpx 2/dav3 pro and base weren't flat so bottom skate felt scratchy
i has an issue with the SE where it had a high spot in the middle of the mouse but the Pro and Pro Max were perfect
Just received it, wonder the difference with or without the extender, you're supposed to be like at 20 cm from the extender and 2 meters without it, what's the point of using it ?
i don't use it, but for best latency the idea is to have your dongle on your desk close to your mouse.

How the shape compares to xytfy m42 I wanna buy the r1 pro but I think I will not like because it's to wide I had m710 before and yes shape was nice but it was to wide
r1 is 59mm at the sensor width
I recently bought the R1 Pro Max and the 4k dongle. I was hoping to use the 4k dongle on my PC and the 2.4g dongle on my laptop. When I tried to use both dongle, only 1 is getting recognized. I had to re-pair it to my laptop after pairing it to my PC. Can someone help me have them both usable without paring it again and again?
i think this is because the mouse uses batt power and if it's connected to 2 dongles it would lose power too quickly
@@DatBoyGuru I don't intend to use it at the same time. It's like when I'm out, I'll bring my laptop with me for work using 2.4ghz dongle and when I'm home, I'll just use the 4k dongle for gaming.

yes isopropyl is alcohol based
Maybe it is ok to use, but personally wouldn't risk alcohol. Not unless you dilute it with water. It is safer just to use a damp microfibre cloth.
I've used isopropyl 99% a few times on my viper mini before applying grip tapes. And each time the cotton pad would have black in it, even when already clean.

Is it even possible to use the mouse wirelessly without buying an additional dongle? And is there an interchangeable standard for these 4K dongles?
all wireless mouse comes with 2.4Hz dongle that looks like a USB stick.
the 4K dongle is an optional extra for $11 and gives your the possibility of higher polling rates of up to 4,000Hz
every mouse brand got their own 4K dongle and usually you can share the dongle within the same brand of mouses.

I have both. VXE is the correct answer, and there's no need for 4K it just takes up space on the desk and adds no real value

try zaopin z2 best performer and 4k ready and hot swap switches
@@DatBoyGuru i checked it out and honestly i think i like the shape better on this one. do you think there will be any differences compared to vxe r1 pro besides in shape. like in terms of build quality, feel, the buttons, etc. If they are similar or even if the zaopin z2 is better. ill most likely buy the zaopin z2 for its shape and it comes with a 4k dongle
click quality is about equal but zaopin you can swap them to huanos or try a bunch of different switches. the stock TTC switch is just so so

Hi guys, my R1 just arrived but I can't get the bluetooth to work.
I tried connecting it to my Windows PC and it initially connected, but after turning it off and on again it no longer works.
The blue light indicating Bluetooth is on works, but my PC (I tried on another PC and it's the same) can't find it.
my BT was fine i paired it to my phone, but i wouldn't advise you to use BT for your PC connection.
If you open the trap door under the mouse you will find the 2.4Hz dongle underneath and that's the best connection you should use to your PC.
Yes, I will be using the dongle for my main PC and was hoping to use Bluetooth on my laptop, to make the switch easier.

If you have the SE version from what I've heard it doesn't support the Bluetooth connection but I could be wrong

@@kevoneh oh yeah i'm sure it will yellow in over a year but if you keep your sweat wiped off regularly this will prolong the whiteness. Sweat is very corrosive
how are the sensor and click latency? And the dpi deviation? Does 1600 dpi work fine
i don't have the tools to measure latency and deviation but i use 1600 dpi and it works great

100% this. I had XM2we white AND black. the M1 cutton developed a squeaky sound like a mouse inside the mouse lol.
I enjoyed it but this has 3395 and EGG has 3370, this has 2K or 4K and EGG is only 1K.
So the r1 pro does support 2k and 4k or not?
R1 Pro & R1 Pro Max are the only 2 models that do have 4K capabilities when paired with the VGN 4K dongle
okay so I did my research and as much as I wanted the cheapest version the videos are not good for the se or se+ so I'm getting the pro because I like the clicks better
and I'm so glad I have the dongle already although I do only use the 1k polling on the f1 moba
ya SE and SE+ are a bit of a QC gamble
don't really need the dongle either because 1k is totally sufficient even if you're global elite

F1 is smaller and flatter like a starlight or beast X .... R1 is rear hump like Sora/X2/XM2we.

in the Vhub you can set it to sleep in XX time. mine goes to sleep in 30s
you don't need to turn it off

if it goes to sleep after 30s i think this is a good balance. sure it will drain some but the Pro will go for 1 week on 1k polling so i think it's ok if you have to recharge every week

All wireless mice have dongles they are usually the micro type capable of maximum 1K polling.
4K brick is an optional upgrade.

As a final verdict is it worth to pay more and get pro max, or pro is better value
i got the pro and its solid .... the promax got some QC issue from what i see online...the crazy thing is i think my aim improved after i change to this from the gpro spl2 .... now this is my main mouse that i use daily for cs2
they feel identical to me, i would decide based on battery life.
If you plan on using 4k then the extra battery life is probably a nice have from the Pro Max. If you use 1k or willing to charge more often on 4k, go with Pro for the lower weight.
