- I probably shouldn't have purchased this, but it has a reason. I'm working on putting more tasks on others which leaves less time for production. With less time to perform work, that work needs to get done a lot faster. Hence, the purchase. Hopefully it works out.

I am a small engraving business that is growing. This laser sounds very interesting. What brand is it going to be?
I have a concern about quality results when using co2 galvanometric laser, especificaly when the logo or artwork have a little details or caracteres. You mention the work area size is 500 x 500 mm, that makes me think the focal distance is huge and the light have by consequence a big spot size, affecting the quality results of the small details.
Do you request the supplier of the machine some tests to guarantee the quality results ?
I'm thinking about de co2 gantry with very fast engraving speed is more effective, we gain quality but of course we lost speed. We engraviing logos and always have artwork with much datails or small texts.

Because the size of the head, the beam expander, and the power, it's able to have a small dot size. I've talked with two others who have the same laser and they're very happy with the quality.
You mentioned automating the pen process. How have you done this?
Scripting automation for the computer. Jobs automatically load, place, hatch, and process with a scan of a barcode. Makes it super nice to run jobs.
Now i am wondering as to why you did not go for a fiber laser with minimal cleanup? I am just blown away by this choice for just engraving tumblers. Does not compute...
Because fiber lasers can etch the metal and the proper laser for only powder coating removal is co2. This laser will have very minimal clean up required.
