In the heart of the Sierra de Gredos, at the top of some stone cliffs in the mountains, there are vulture nests that spend there all year round thanks to the inaccessibility of the place and the tranquility of the area.
Now they are in the stage of raising the chicks that were born a few months ago and that they must feed while searching for the carrion that they try to find flying over the mountains.
They are impressive birds. I find a shelter under an oak tree from where I can watch them take off and land on the stones.
