In the original story stepmother was a manipulative woman who is bitter ugly inside but kind and charismatic in the outside so it isn’t a surprise that cinderella was under her charm 😢

I was going through a horrifying divorce and she acted like she was doing me a favor and made me drive 4 hours with my car to drive her knees to upstate New York to her other business, so she wouldn't miss the last day of school in the week. . 1 day I was late and it really showed who she was, she called me a moron horrible names, I threw in the towel and said, I quit, I'm not your slave, I'm not going to be abused by you so she made sure that everybody in the family wouldn't talk to me ever again. I picked my bags up. And I moved to the other side of the United States and started my life over. Yes, I'm alone, but. It's better than being abused by your own family
