"express before impress" I like that and I really appreciate the fact that you liked Laurent's last round because he honestly killed it. A lot of other reactors see his dancing as "too feminine" and stuff, but I personally think it was beautiful. It was well-paced, there was actual content, not just signature moves, he took the time to listen. It was very much free.
Bruh, doing Feminine moves just to match the track is incredible. Not all understands how hard it is to portray a character without looking forced while dancing.
Because Yk Laurent and Larry was battling on the streets when they was young. People seem to forget how they started and just be like they just Instagram famous and be with Beyoncé that’s not all they are.
Been noticing more how people drop concepts without expanding on them because of you. That helped me show more love to dancers I used to sleep on in the past because I lacked understanding. Your knowledge really is power bro 🔥
At the end of the video, Larry apologized for not going hard because he had injured his toe and he couldn't do what he do. Larry knew he wasn't at his best, and you recognized the same. Great minds....
I’ve been following your channel for a while (1/2 years I think) and I can understand what you’re saying, especially looking at my own dance, I think what I lack is this foundation so as not to fall into these repetitions that I have noticed. Anyway, you have helped me a lot to realize this and try to work on my dance ... Big hug from Brazil! 🇧🇷
Dam it, that camera battery man lol. Love when you're able to break down the dancers strengths and weaknesses. I would love to see Kida to evolve in a particular style and get into the battle scene more. Even though this battle is about 5 years old, it still shows that alot of dancers dance to impress than express. The athleticism/physical ability of dancers is insane, entertaining as well. To me, it's the mindset of some dancers. Jack.of all trades master of none approach. Blend everything but not stand out in your own style. Power moves, sets and signatures galore but not always being as creative throughout ya freestyle/battle/ demo without those things. I'm just a fan of the dance world and "try" to dance myself so I'm not an expert so I could be wrong as hell.
i remember watching this when it came out and thinking larry looked trash compared to his usual stuff but a bunch of people in the commentsa were saying he was dancing on an injured foot at this time
I actually agree with what you were saying around 24:50-25:15 I believe. You definitely need foundation to propel you to create and you can not only use that in dance but a lot of other things. Painting, drawing, lifting weights, singing, martial arts, the list goes on. But i feel like if you take someone’s else’s creativity and make it your base line it may or may not work out for you. Idk I feel like I can use that for my boxing and just start learning more of the fundamentals of the art and working from there. Good shit bro 👍🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
This is why I love Les Twins. I dance myself before but I never had a foundation. I learn choreographies and dance with confidence, that's it. I wish I could be more creative. The Twins always connect to the song, listen to it and express it through dance. It is beautiful which makes me appreciate both dancing and music in a different level. I stopped dancing but I hope with watching a few more of Les Twins I'll get encouraged.
Uuuh if we’re being technical here les twins do not have a lot of foundation themselves lol, they style is more so free and wild, of course they borrows some techniques from difference dance styles in hip hop (popping, animation, isolations etc) but I don’t see a specific foundation being a top priority when they dance
sup metal, im 16 and working so i'll be buying one of your shirts soon. i reply respect and admire the kind of community youre trying to make and the brand that you are trying to create. keep up the grind til youre one of the big bois on top. dont know if youll see this but much love (p.s. i always love the les twins content.)
14:22 guys he didn't crash you can see that he points to the crowd and then he fell on them. He was telling the crowd to prepare but people wouldn't know that because no one did it before.
I like how Laurent in the third round when kida was goin he got his attention and told him to stop lookin at the crowd and to focus more on the twins. 11:30
looking back, I think that the twins just trying to impress because they knew it wasn't a real battle. I think in that last round Laurent was like "ight man, now I'm finna show you why we even got here, and why you shoulda never stepped to us" that was his serious round to me.
Kida didn't dance enough. That cute stuff doesn't work with real battle dancers. He was young so maybe that's y. Jabari tried but didn't connect. Lau was probably man of the match. Larry wasn't as good as he always is.
I mean they are real dancers too it's just the twins are world class battflers first and foremost. Imo Kida didn't come up off ttling as a claim to fame, he chose a different avenue that lead to collabs with true religion, being in numerous music videos, starring and choreographing a Bieber video etc. ikshun is heavy on social media and was considered as "just a performer" by dumbasses but he REALLY be battling. Its just not what kinda puts his time into. But to call him not a real dancer is kinda wild

Lol its dancing, it's hard for normal people to get it. The way Laurent dances is amazing and expressive, his crew always hypes him.
Bruh, doing Feminine moves just to match the track is incredible. Not all understands how hard it is to portray a character without looking forced while dancing.
@5:05. Not gonna lie i almost died laughing when you said " im gonna just miss that whole beat". with a straight face, 😂😂
Lmao like he really did cut off beat like he ran outta moves

Dope vid bro! Low-key feeling like a lot of dancers I see today in the larger scene are more athletic and ambitious than creative.
React to laurent shanghai juste debout i have requested so many times it is amazing
It is!
the "get yo big ass up" got me dead asf 😂😂😂😂😂

Nice one! One of the first dance vids I ever watched. Awesome to hear your analysis
Kidas difference from this event and how he is now is pretty wild
Dam it, that camera battery man lol.

Loved the long breakdown at the end!
i remember watching this when it came out and thinking larry looked trash compared to his usual stuff but a bunch of people in the commentsa were saying he was dancing on an injured foot at this time
Yea he had an injury so he couldn't do as much and then Laurent also said he wanted to go harder cause Larry couldn't

Nah can't have you give up on it. Learn that foundation and enjoy the dance bro. Don't forget to subscribe and hope to see you more in the comments

You should react to WOD Bailey and Kida they’re iconic
Memphis jookin is a great example of the philosophy of art.
I like how Laurent in the third round when kida was goin he got his attention and told him to stop lookin at the crowd and to focus more on the twins. 11:30
I’m just gonna miss that whole beat LMAO
idk i swear the les twins shine more on their workshop freestyles and their judge demos , the battles are so so
Looking at the comments I’m so ready for this break down
Let’s get this man to 4K!!!
4k, the channel is growing 😎
Love your reactions! And please react to Les Twins Juste Debout Shanghai 2020 :)
Love how you react
My brain :Kida and Lauren won 🔥
i remembered seeing this as a young lad
Damn this took me back. Thought kids was a world beater when I first saw this.
Kinda felt like there were a bunch of moms in the audience
I wasn't expecting this reaction at all 😆...Last time I watched it I thought the battle wasn't even close, lemme see if my opinion changes 🤔
Congrts on 4 k bro
Yeah I agree, this one particularly felt like they were forcing in those signature moves. Amazingly they’ve gotten even better now.
looking back, I think that the twins just trying to impress because they knew it wasn't a real battle. I think in that last round Laurent was like "ight man, now I'm finna show you why we even got here, and why you shoulda never stepped to us" that was his serious round to me.
Love watching your reactions bro great damn energy
OKAY metal, mans got like 50 ads on the vid
👀 ads are good for you bro
Get that bag man well deserved
Jabari was in S rank for a minute, but for some reason he wasn't on the on the team that went on NBC world of dance
4K LET'S GO
Larry and Lau sonned them lol
love les twins 😍🔥♥️
Yeah dance is hella subjective now
Love from india brdr❤️
Kida is way too stiff and has a limited amount of moves. His control and isolations are high level tho
Bruh what the hell are you talking about? Kida is most definitely not a stiff dancer.
les go baby
Kida didn't dance enough. That cute stuff doesn't work with real battle dancers. He was young so maybe that's y. Jabari tried but didn't connect. Lau was probably man of the match. Larry wasn't as good as he always is.
Larry was injured, injury to his toe plus larry said himself that he did not go as hard.
Yerr
Yea I just feel like beat killing began to take away from some dancers showing their creativity and depth.
Cool
Larry fell down because he was injured
If only Kids were two
The twins have a way of picking down a hat that has fallen down lol
Yooooo
Wish Kida was 2
This battle wasn’t the best. It seemed like Laurent and Larry didn’t really take it as serious. I don’t really favor this one.
yes les twins are the best ever when they lose it means they didnt take it seriously lol
real dancers vs social media dancers
I mean they are real dancers too it's just the twins are world class battflers first and foremost. Imo Kida didn't come up off ttling as a claim to fame, he chose a different avenue that lead to collabs with true religion, being in numerous music videos, starring and choreographing a Bieber video etc. ikshun is heavy on social media and was considered as "just a performer" by dumbasses but he REALLY be battling. Y’all just go on the internet and say the dumbest shi without an ounce of research 😂 I fahso bet the only dancers in the video you knew were les twins
