Mirabel IS the next holer of the miracle, it was shown as soon as the movie started. Camilo has "Cam" in it, hinting to CAMoflauge, or Chameleon... Antiono has "ant" in it, Hinting to an insect "Ant", Both names cordinate to their gifts.. Mirabel has "Mira" in it, and it hints to MIRAcle.... so yeah!
I feel the same about Camilo. I watched the movie months later, and I had already seen a lot of fanart. So when I watched the movie, I wondered why Camilo didn't have a lot of scenes with Mirabel or in the movie in general either. I thought they were close from all the fancomics and fanart. Turns out he's very popular for the very little screentime he got.

so a theory of mirabel not getting a gift is that apparently she will take over abuela's role when the time comes
Maribel's gift is controlling the house when she was sad or scared or even nervous the house would crack. But when she is happy and excited the house will dance and move. That is why the house fell down. And the reason she didn't get a door is because she wiped off the magic off on her shirt. (I hope this helped) (Also I'm not a 100% sure but this is what caught me when i watched it)

alma needed someone to help with the village turns out luisa gained that gift
she also needed some growing useful animals and they had antonio
alma needed a person who could help them with Throwing in his magical gift that allows him to switch up his appearance to be whomever he wants to be in the moment, to help with village's people whoever he wants to be!,
she needed a daughter to cook and heal people whenever they are sick or hurt or pain
so she got julieta!,
alma needed a person to see the future they make they bring in they see so she had bruno!.

I personally think that mirabel has a gift connected to the stars, and her door is in the sky. It also explains why she refers to constellations and stars through the movie.

Actually mirabel did get a gift at the end of the movie, if you noticed when she opened the door to the rebuilt casita, the door glowed and revealed mirabel’s gift which is keeping the family together

Mirabel didn’t get a gift because Abuela needed someone to be the ruler of the candle at the time so when Abuela dies mirabel is the candle holder so Abuela gave Mirabel the candle when Abuela dies but she is gonna be the ruler of the candle instead of getting a gift and that means that she is gonna get the candle instead of a gift. Just letting u know great channel!

i think the reason why mirabel didnt get a gift is because when she touched the candle, she wiped her hands which made the candle effect or smth go away. Its kinda like the nervous theory

I thought that mirabels gift was that when she gets mad or sad, the house starts to break even more, and when the casita risked their lives for mirabel, I thought she was casitas favorite! And mirabel sounds a bit like miracle so idk if she is the miracle of the family maybe?
I think Dolores told Antonio something and that the rats weren't the only ones who told Antonio and really skilled I can tell that you've practiced but there's one thing I don't understand why are you so underated! I think that Merabel's gift is to rebuild buildings as in the end of the movie mirabel saved the miracle and she saved the Casita and on the door of the Casita was a picture of all the characters and mirabel was holding the candle so that means that Merabel will be the next candle holder.
The candle doesn't exsist anymore it burnt out and it is no where to be seen in the final product of the house and it is not sitting in the window where it used to :)

Me explain the whiping hand thing. Basically the candle gives the magic to the e door but she wiped her hand so the magic came off of her hands and 9nto her dress. Yeah. ( For anyone confused about this theory) but I am also a simp for encanto

Miribel did have a gift you just don't see it , she is the hope of the family like how her grandfather sacrifices himself to save the generations.
She has butterflies on the dress as a sign of hope.
She is also the only one who interacts with the house and you see it falls apart when she loses hope.

Mirabel kinda did get a gift cuz at the end when she put the doorknob on new casita’s door she got a gift which makes me think there will be Encanto 2… But turning red has come out as well. Basically, Mirabel’s gift is the casita itself!

The one about about her sweating makes sense if u think about it as ALL of the magic comes from a CANDLE and Antonio touched the candle and just touched the door immediately after while Mirabel wiped her hands THEN touched the door meaning she wiped the wax off her hands before touching the door handle, so it could be she wiped the magic off her hands ?
