Remember getting up Saturday morning back then about to go the family reunion Calvert County,my dad playing this album blasting it loud rocky the whole house miss them days ,awesome music.
Oooo I love this song since I first heard it back in 1977. That Moog bass synthesizer, very tight drums & horns, great singing, "ain't that go", very clear distinct guitar sound in a great solo. It's just a PERFECT song. Rest in Peace Johnny, you tought us what real funk is! Right-on bro 👍
This is my favorite record, as well as his previous album! Johnny 'Guitar' Watson is really kool to me! Love his style of music! We regret losing such a wonderful musician!
Oooh, not heard this stonkingly great song in decades!! I bought the vinyl single when it first came out!! Still sounds fkng amazing. So deliciously FUNKY! ALL THE BEST MUSIC came out of the 70s 😎
I had the pleasure of meeting gentleman in 1994. Stood and talked with him for almost an hour. Truly a nice guy and one of the coolest people ever, AND, the absolute greatest bluesman to ever do it, bar NONE.
Not only they makin milk outta powda--But NOW even the milk powda NOT even available at the store! Po babies! Now that IS cold! I see Drummer man smilin enjoyin n singin along!
Heard this only once in a German disco in 1978 - never paid much attention to the lyrics but the riff stuck in my head. First time I've heard it since.
I remember 1st listening to this song in my Ford Mavrick (the car; NOT the pickup), on a slide-in Radio Shack 8-track tape player. I think I was in line at a FotoMat, too.. That's going back a "few" years. (decades!)😅
Giving thought to the instrumentation available in 1977, and I had no real concept how to play any real instruments back then, I'm loving that keyboard sound even better in the 2024 than I ever appreciated back when the song orginally came out. I'm thinking it was the beginning of the bass synthesizer that catapulted Bernie Worell to his success and others in the R&B world
PLUS--The man's is an economist: 3 gallons of low-lead gasoline enough to get you round the corner to the next gas station for 2 hot dogs and a strawbery soda!. Don't get any better n that! Too cold indeed!

So groovy....the masterpiece of groovy and cool music
I 😍 this song a great song
He's also the man behind creating an innovative riff in 1954! Yet, in '77, he still got that creative juices!
This REAL MUSIC
They didn't call him Guitar Watson for nothing, there will never be music like this again and the message was real
Lovely🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I remember rolling around in my 74 lincoln town car playing this
I remember 1st listening to this song in my Ford Mavrick (the car; NOT the pickup), on a slide-in Radio Shack 8-track tape player. I think I was in line at a FotoMat, too.. That's going back a "few" years. (decades!)😅
