  • Saint Stanislaus Kostka's architectural style is a blend of Romanesque and Baroque, with Byzantine influences. Construction of the present Saint Stanislaus Kostka church was started in April of 1891.
The church was designed by Frederick C. Sauer. While at Technical School in Wittenberg, Germany he worked as a stone cutter, brick layer arid carpenter. After graduation in 1879 he came to Pittsburgh at the age of 19.

Beautiful. This is the way churches are supposed to look. The church is the place where Heaven and earth meet.

Victor Beltran, this is a beautifully shot and edited little film of a stunningly beautiful church. I come to it entirely by accident and live in Ireland, not sure if I will ever have the opportunity of setting foot there - "where Heaven and earth meet," very nicely put here in the comments. Please could you name the choral music you chose to accompany your video.
