They’ve made a lot of great changes to this game. I’m playing a new game while watching yours and great news: you can move the village center! You can also move things such as benches and the town well. You just sacrifice a few material and 1 monies. SO happy about this feature so you can move the village center more inland as you expand 😊
oooooooh I didn't think you could move it! THIS Is excellent news. Now tell me how to move entire blueprints? I don't see the little white marker that used to exist where you could grab the whole building...
@@SolidContent I was looking for the marker as well to try to move my church and I think it’s gone unfortunately. I had to move each individual piece in the blueprints mode and didn’t see a way to move the entire unit anymore
Excellent Vid I agree This game is unsurpassed I love some of the things they've added The resi areas look just great Just an all round great builder in my view
At first I didn't get why a road goes down the cliff like that, then I realized it's the border. I really like the changes they made. The houses look really good, and it makes more sense now why they don't build so dense. "It's rustic, it's small, it has a little bit of detail at the back" I dated someone like that in my 20s. That smaller plot house pop up in the thin painted residential area was nice to see. Maybe it's good to paint areas in small increments if we want more dense living areas.
I'm glad they hit 1.0 and I enjoyed playing it a little this morning, but Ostriv still stands as my favorite- and if you haven't been keeping up, Solid, Ostriv's dev is hoping to release alpha 6 next month or so, I'm really looking forward to it.
Ooooh, I was just going to do some Ostriv content to backlog for when it's a busier time in my life, but now I'm thinking I should wait, so I can hit it up properly!! I do agree with you, Ostriv, Foundation, and CS2 for me are the trifecta of "I want to relax and design a city"
@@SolidContent Keep track of the dev's update posts. Already there's been a LOT put in since you last played, new industrial buildings, and lots of tweaks, like fishing docks now needing nets that are made with thread made by weavers...I think maybe last time you played there wasn't even the map allowing iron mines yet? I think the biggest weakness Ostriv has is the limited number of maps, I admit that sometimes makes me less inclined to start a new city up, to only have maps I've used before- but I think the growing web of resources/industries is well ahead of like Manor Lords in satisfaction, and even un-modded Foundation feels like it has less variety to me.
The “iron cross” is actually the Cross Pattée or Templar Cross. There’s a lot of medieval examples, it was extremely popular in iconographies and is found on a lot of crowns/royal costume
It looks like the dev's pick up on a game called Fabledom it has this nice look foundation built around each house to give it perks and looks great, so now this update has a similar setup feel to the homes nice.

What seed did you use?
