I'm a dude and for me its always been about how I can express my love for the woman I'm with. Sounds corny, but generally want them to have a good time. Its also a plus if they feel the same.
I’m a guy too, and when I was younger I had such a high s3x drive I wanted every single attractive woman I saw (and had far more than I should have). Since I hit late 20s and after, I have far more control over myself and the priority is without a doubt expressing love.

Staying healthy is the key…From a man’s perspective, and in my 40’s, I feel I’m better sexually now than in my 20’s. For one, I’m a healthier weight after being over 300lbs. and losing 70. Cardio will help your heart rate and stamina, plus I eat more green vegetables and fruits daily, take vitamins and natural plant base supplements, and, I cut out fast food almost completely (fast food, alcohol, and an occasional celebratory cigar is rare). I can last much longer than 4 minutes, and honestly, longer than when I was much, much younger. Experience in foreplay, and knowing what turns you both on, helps as well. There are many things that turn men off. One is when his lady devalues him , belittles him or talks about him to others in a negative way.

For the man in the opening scene, if it was simply physical, he'd find a way. There's medicine like the video mentioned, there's other ways to make her happy too. If he won't participate at all, to me that means he doesn't care much at all either. A loving spouse will always do what they can to make the other happy. I'm at 32 years married and still learning ways to reinforce that sentiment.
If it really is a physical thing he should have his cholesterol and blood pressure checked out.
He probably needs testosterone replacement therapy. The decline of testosterone impacts performance and actual want to have intimacy. So it’s more of a chemical problem than not wanting his wife. Almost guarantee if he started TRT his drive would return.

Another biological factor is age and attractiveness. A woman I know posted a question about why older woman are not seen as attractive in movies and life, but older men are. I told her, from purely reproductive standpoint, an older a woman gets, the less value she has as a potential mate (obviously I'm talking in their 50s+). Guys, who can reproduce to their last day, are still seen as a potential mate.

If you look at actual, new research in for example pregnancy anomalies are higher when ANY of the parents are over 40-45 AND with parents that are during the puberty stage of their lives.
