I just finished installing a Kenwood DNX997XR in my 2006 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab! I have been using my DNX7100 which has been a great radio, But this new one is absolutely incredible! Next I’ll be installing some sound deadening material because this truck is extremely littered with road noise along with an amp and speakers in the factory locations! I will be finishing the system off with an amp and some type of sub, Some thing that will not take up too much room! The only complaint I have is that the new GPS antenna is not magnetic, I am currently living in South Carolina and double-sided tape does not seem like a smart choice to use in this type of heat!
My brother had a Mustang with a Mach system. His car was a ? I forget the year but like a 35th? Anniversary edition and the Mach stereo was full blown. 6 amps on a rack in the trunk. 4 on top and 2 on the bottom and it had two 10" subs, FACTORY, in each corner. To top it off, it was all factory Rockford Fosgate. I wouldn't even want ty think about swapping that out.
I have a question about changing the original mach 460 cd changer out for the cassette radio that could have come in the car, I recently did this and all of the plugs went back into place on the cassette radio, but none of the woofers work now, was wondering if there's an easy fix for that, also I have a 2002 convertible.
Wouldnt it make sense to just replace the 5x7 with components hook them up to the stock amp and add a 4 channel amp for the 4x tweeters and call it a day???
Do you need the kenwood screen for this audio system. I’m looking at doing something very similar to this setup in my 99 and I have a Sony head unit i rather use
I just noticed a huge issue with these amps I just realized! Why is there no subsonic filter?! I have a jl audio ported enclosure and just noticed this.....I find it odd that such a good amp doesn't have one.
That person must really be in that car 24/7 for the door panel to deform like that. I had Sn-95 for 30 yrs that got a lot of use . Door panels still looked new when I sold it.
Have an o4 base model stang I put the small speaker on door but didn't come with the connection so I connected to the speaker at the bottom of the door.should I unplug the connection from the bottom speaker and run the wires from the amp to the bottom door speakers?
My Pioneer GM-A6704 says to use two 30 amp fuses in parallel to power the amplifier instead of one 60 amp fuse. Do you guys know why? It would be a challenge to get 2 fuse holders mounted close to the battery in my 2002 Mustang GT.
Did you connect the front speakers to the amplifier also? Looks like those are running from the head unit? I am never sure if you connect the door speakers to the amp I rarely see you running wires for them
Hello, I have a general question, I have a 02 Mustang GT Convertible, with the Mach 460 system, I upgraded the Head Unit, and all the speakers, I left the (2) amp in the back, all sounds great, except after 10 to 15 minutes, the volume lowers itself until I can't hear anything, this happens with BT, FM/AM, so I have to shut off radio for about 10 minutes, then it works, fine again, I have no idea whats happening, do u have any clue?
Awesome video! I'm lost though. What did you do with the front speakers? How did you tie them into the radio? You had the factory connector hooked up before you started testing.

Mounting my Pioneer GM-A6704 amplifier the way you guys did doesn't sound like a good idea for me since it's huge. A floor mount would be best for me. If I decide to add a subwoofer I could get one of those that fit on top of the donut spare tire.

Gotta ask since my wife has a glowforge for her business. I don't see how creating that tweeter mount was faster than using a router and other tools.
