love the horn! I've never heard of the gooseberry books, I'll have to keep an eye out for them! And we have to remember that with thrifting everything is not as affordable as we would like it, but its way better than buying new!

Hi Davee. Your videos are so calming and I enjoy watching them so much! You’re such a sweet and wonderful mom and wife. I can see Jesus in you! I bought “The Crippled Lamb” book for my children years ago! I still have the book more than 20 years later. It is so sweet! I agree with your friend that it’s a tearjerker! Have a merry Christmas!

When finding thrifted/antique pretty framed pictures, I keep in mind the cost of a just frame in a store. So often a thrifted framed picture having a real wood frame is cheaper than just a cheap (and often plastic wood look) frame at Walmart or other stores.

Hi Davee! I love good coffee table books, but i like to pick up some just for the pictures inside, ones that i can frame. I have seek Currier & Ives and another on primitive & antique pieces that I've framed a few pictures from. There's A mod podge technique you can use to make them look like oil paintings, thats very quick & simple! Same I love copper kettles, i love most anything copper!😊 I agree Davee, not only do i just have a deep love for anything old, but not everyone has the exact same pieces! Sure we all that collect old pieces may have some pieces alike..a rolling pin or cutting board, a copper kettle or brass candle holder, maybe even a plate or picture. But 50 people in 10 states don't have the exact same piece! And I've seen things that I've only ever seen once.. especially large or small furniture pieces, lamps frames, and just decor pieces. Now I say all that but its funny because just this week I've seen 3 people pick up that Currier & Ives winter scene.. but in 3 different ways. One was A framed piece of art, one the putting was on a tin, and one was a metal tray with the print. I myself have that picture on a plate and a framed print. Its A very popular scene from Currier & Ives. There's actually 4 of them, all 4 seasons with winter being the most popular. I also have the one of the other seasons on a plate & would love to find the other 2. Currier & Ives make such beautiful art, that's why i love the coffee table books to frame pictures from! I love all the bells hanging from ropes or single ones, in the different shapes & sizes! I would rub the bright shiny ones in antiquing wax to make then look older.. just my personal preference!🤷‍♀️ Victorian & French country art are my fav to collect.. this pieces at 8:05 were really pretty & not priced too bad. I would love to collect the vintage Santa mugs, but only if i run across some that are not so pricey! The gift basket is super sweet! I have an old hard back copy of Peter Rabbit from the Early 1960's, but the cover is green. Ah the brass French horn! Another piece I've seen several find in their thrifting this week! I have several myself. Its just one if the vintage pieces lots of people have. I keep my smaller ones that size out year round. I have one on a peg rack & one hanging buy its original rope on an old wood side chair. I have a large one i usually just put out At Christmas. Oh I so want an old wood sled & a pair of old white ice skates! Of course if i find newer dates l will make them look old!😉 I think that's such a cute look, the skates hanging on the sled with a bow & greenery! I like receiving gift baskets, is so much more personal & thought about. I love velvet ribbons at Christmas, i really love the ones with frayed edges. The gold color is very pretty. I love the dark green, dark red & the gold.. such pretty ribbons! Enjoyed the video, you had a nice haul! Thanks for taking us along & sharing! I pray you have a blessed weekend!🙏🏻

Thanks for watching! You seem to have a fun knack for decorating. I actually have all four of the Currier and Ives season plates. Got them for $1 a piece at a thrift store several years back.

@DaveeKilian Oh Wow that's awesome! When we lived in Tennessee we had A thrift store. We also had a recovery home. We were A non profit so the guys did lots of jobs in the community. One being house clean outs. We stocked our store from donations, estate sale & large yard sale left overs & the his clean outs. The house clean out pieces were brought to the house for me to go thru, get opt the trash, take things that could be used in the recovery home & what went to the store. So I did have the privilege of getting some things, & lots of times we would pay for the items i kept personally. That's where I got my plates but there were only 2.. the winter & i can't remember if is fall or summer. Everything is in storage, we recently moved to Florida & staying with my son while we look for a house. So I can't ck. I'd put them in the closet & hadn't hung them because we were getting ready to move. But I want to say its the summer one.🤷‍♀️ I just hope to find the other 2!! You got a great deal on yours! Currier & Ives is just such classic pieces!
