I noticed the original non-AI portion wasn't the best recording, had kind of a graininess or something to it. I'm guessing over time the AI kept thinking that distortion was "important" and started emphasizing it or stacking it or something.
I've noticed that Suno v3.5 has a tendency to accumulate high or low frequency noise across continuations if any is present in the first clip. Since the first has intentional noise in the chiptuned snare/hats, Suno just kept adding more until it was awful. It's something to be careful about if you're using Suno yourself, to make sure there's *no* noise in the original clip if you're planning on generating continuations.
From the few of things like this I've heard, there's a non-zero chance it just makes up an entirely different song, possibly using the former melody as more of a rhythm. Would be neat to hear, though.
