When I was studying for my stockbroker's licence he would periodically try to "read" my books and apparently couldn't figure out why I was staring at them so much. He'd always give me that "why?" look after doing that.
Need to point out that although, rabbits are not "rodents", they share characteristics of rodents, in that they are gnawing animals. They love to chew on just about anything. We give ours newspaper, which they will happy spend hours tearing into little strips. If you keep a rabbit indoors, you have to be extremely careful on the placement of all your electrical wiring. They LOVE to chew on wires.
Rory Gallagherfan They are from a group called lagomorphs. Separate from Rodentia and Cavis altogether. There's not many animals that come under lagomorphs then rabbits, which makes them kind of special.
They sure do act like dogs. Remember when my bunny was still alive, sometimes during weekends when I would sleep longer , he would run up to the second floor of my house where I was sleeping, jump on my bed and wake me up.
I love how the buns know they've done something their owners won't like by immediately running away with a binky! I don't have a garden at the moment, I can't wait until I do so my buns can experience snow!!
I loved your video, you captured perfectly life with those precious babies. I just lost my sweet "Robert" last month, (he was 9) and looked EXACTLY! like Thumper! RABBITS RULE !!
Seeing Thumper so happy and free makes me sad, my cousins had a bunny for a while but they kept him caged all the time and he never learned to trust them. He was stiff and tense 100% of the time. Bunnies always look so much happier when they're comfortable and free to roam!
Great video! Good job. I love rabbits soooo much. I work away a lot so I can't have my own pets so I enjoy watching RUclips videos of people's pet rabbits so keep 'em coming. Thanks!
***** like I said before, they will still poop out of the litter box even if it's still in their cage. no bunny will poop in the litter box all the time.
Nice job on your video! Rabbits make great pets. We keep them on our homestead and the one awesome thing about rabbits you missed is what their droppings can do for your garden :). Keep up the good work and give Thumper a small piece carrot.
I miss having bunnies! I wish I could have given them better living environments. We never set up a fenced area in the backyard for them to hop around in. And even though I let my buns hop around freely about the house, they ultimately had to stay in a cage.
Good job on the video. I love my rabbits. They have always lived indoors, but I prefer they go back to their home (cage) when I'm not supervising them. I've had a variety of breeds, both male and female, and there is something special and different about them all.
I've had mine for 13 years. They have alot of pro's, a few cons too... Unfortunately. Biggest one is the chewing. Otherwise great pets and mine is just a total sweetheart.
Wonderful beautifuls adorable pets rabbit !i have two bunnies and utilize little door for small animal for play in the garden with che dog!inteligents pets rabbit ,my lovely preferied pets
Your video makes me happy and i watched it over and over again because there's a lot of joy and love between your family and those rabbits (esp.Thumper). I really can tell all of your pets are happy, it's really joyful to see how happy THumper is when he is doing his binky.. I always have rabbit as a pet since im young, and my last rabbit recently died after 6 years. Now we have 2 Jersey Wooly and 2 Netherland, They are my source of happiness :) And yes, rabbit has personality!
i started with 2 ended up with 9 we had like 32 at one point i think but we gave them away. we kept the original litter because my husband named them. they're amazing. every single one of them. i love your bunny. thanks for sharing!
Wish you could have talked lil bit about the evilness^^ The last bunny i had, had the habit to bite when it didn't want any contact or generally had enough. Not hard, just sorta play bite where i didn't even have any teethmarks on my skin. The scariest thing was, when i was petting the head and i noticed he was slowing racing his head, then i knew he had enough and was ready to shooo me away. Oh and all the bunnies before made me an expert on cable repairs... left my headphones on the bed, now i got two, three, four pieces of it :D
We just lost our house bunny "Robert" at 9 years old. He looked exactly like Thumper. It's so true they can be quite naughty but every thing they do is so darn adorable !
I had a bunny for nearly 12 years. She loved roaming around the house...mostly in my room. didn't even have to train her to use the litter box. Defo a pet worth recommending! (as long as you are not allergic)
+Slothlax Aww that's so sad! I could never handle any of my pets living outdoors, I've only ever had inside pets and I would feel so far away from them, ha ha!
+Slothlax I'm very sorry. I had a rabbit dumped on me by an alcoholic, abusive "friend," and learned a lot about rabbits in a short time. The most important thing I learned was that rabbits are miserable by themselves. If your bunny is alone outside in a hutch, he or she is probably going mad. Rabbits are prey animals, and being alone for them means extreme stress. The rabbit who got dumped on me IMMEDIATELY made friends with all of my cats and acts more like a dog than anything else -- can you imagine leaving a dog outside, all alone, all the time? I had to get another rabbit for the first one dumped on me because she is so needy and affectionate that being a house rabbit with three cat friends still wasn't enough love for her. Can you afford to go to the local rabbit rescue and do a little speed-dating and get your rabbit a friend? They can also cut you a deal on getting your bunny neutered, so you don't end up with a thousand more rabbits. I hope you respond, because it makes me so sad to imagine your bunny all alone outside! I'd love to help your bunny have a better life, and I'm sure you don't want it to be sad.
OMG you really have a devil bunny on your hands! I love how into that balloon that big one is. Looks just like our Dandelion. :) I wish we had a great outdoor space for our does to play in, we have a small run but they can't really get a full run on.
You should give thumper more hay instead of pellets. Thumper is a bit on the chubby side for an one year old rabbit :P And I hope that you don't put your rabbit often outside in the winter, because he is an inside bunny. The temperature is so different in and outside the house, that a rabbit can die from that during that season.
Nicholas Wegner I once put mine on diet of little less food per day and she turns around jump on tables to eat my food. Thus lesson learned don't leave food on table.
I loved your video we have had bunnies for a number of years we are on Bunny number 3 bunny number 2 passed in August 17 2015 month shy of her 9th Birthday and then at the end of September we got our current bunny named Honey-Bunn and they are such great pets I am so in love with bunnies plus other animals like my 2 rats that we also have
Brings back a lot of nice memories. We had inside rabbits for five years and yard bunnies for four. Love seeing what we called their "Boings!" again. We had Hazel, Scooter, Gandalf, Raspberry, Blackberry and Blueberry at various times. Scooter loved to be chased around the apartment when we got home. The routine was that we'd open the front door and she would run down the hall to where the bathroom door was, align herself to run in there behind the toilet, but stare tensely back at us. We would take a couple of very stealthy predator step, then lunge while we were still 15 feet away. Like a bullet she would be in the bathroom. One day went per routine until she jumped into the bathroom, WHOMP into the closed door. Poor Bunny.
love the bunny 500...is thumper a flemish mix...we have a few of our own...they are awsome pets as long as you know what you are getting into....lot of work but so worth it..love the big ears and their devilish side to...rabbits rule the cute world.....
Nice video. You got some really great footage. They are so cute. I have two females. One is a lop and the other is a rex. I got the rex, Daisy to keep Buttercup company, but they fight every time I try to do a meeting for them. So i let them out of their cages separately. Only put them in there when i am at work or gone for a few hours, otherwise they run free. Both are litter box trained. Bunnies are very smart. Every morning Buttercup jumps on my bed and wakes me up. She then stays at least twenty minutes and lets me pet her. If I stop, she moves even closer and then will start digging either on me or the blankets. Kind of like a "hey why did you stop, i want to be petted still." If anyone has any advice on how I can get these two to be friends, it would be so appreciated. Thanks for sharing such a cute clip.
rabbits need to be spayed or neutered before introductions, because hormones will cause htem to fight. rabbits who are left intact also have an 80% of developing reproductive cancer which is a very sad and painful way to die. so it's very important in all aspects to have the desexed. here's an article about bonding www.ohiohouserabbitrescue.org/bondingbunnies/
Arya Tanaka Thank you for answering, and for the link. I will check it out. The newest bunny, Daisy is already spayed. She is almost a year old now. She was a shelter bunny. Buttercup is not. She turned a year old in December of 2015
We had a few rabbits that had free run of the house, and when it was nice out, we let them outside for almost all day with no one watching them at all. We have about an acre sized yard, and they mostly stayed in the yard. They might hide in a neighbors' bushes or wander a bit farther sometimes, but they knew not to cross the road, and they came inside when we needed them to. One of the rabbits lived outside all the time. She was only put in a cage or kept indoors in the rain or winter. And if you think that sounds cruel or careless, that rabbit was very smart and tough as nails. If something threatened her, she would growl and bite and fight. She didn't just live outdoors, she preferred and _thrived_ outdoors. But she was very affectionate and when you went outside, she would run from across the whole yard to sit in your lap. She later passed away from a brain tumor, though, not the outdoors.
+ZachTheCommie I hear a lot of stories like this that end in disasters. Almost everything out there wants to kill rabbits. I wish I had an outdoor space to take our does out in to play - but given all the dogs that get loose in this neighborhood and the way a dog will fixate on a rabbit (I've seen dogs stare until they start drooling) ours are almost exclusively indoors. They have the run of the house tho and have a lot of fun.
You don't need to have bedding. Look into using a fleece blanket as the base of the cage :)! Remember reading somewhere that bunnies can get bedding stuck in the ear or something which can also be bad.
Try hemp "rodent" mats. You can cut them up into a small piece fitting the litter box, then put a thin layer of hemp wood chips bedding on top. Works like a dream.
I had a bunny that looked just like this one. She lived to be 12 years. You wouldn't think they live so long. Also, I can tell by how you look that you're from Utah...
he doesn't half look like his dad Co graduations and on a superb video which always cheers me right up and I now have two more bu nines missed em soo much
I've had a bunch of pet bunnies over the years and they're just hysterical to have around. They make me laugh all the time. They're easy to keep as a pet too, just like a cat. U just gotta keep the flea & tick meds on them once a month and make sure u brush out their coat if u have a long haired bunny. Other than that and a once a year vet check .. and keep their ears clean,,,they're easy n fun. When they jump sideways like that, that means you have one very happy bunny
aww love the relationship you have with your bunny. i have 4 as house rabbits i dont know what id do without i love the so much. its very true bunnys can be so naughty haha
Omg love it :0) I saw him playing with the balloon and it reminded me of my Buster bunny(2000-2006)he used to do that too, trying to taslk hubby into getting another bigger bunny and house train it, ide like a Flemish giant :0)
sokratis 123 It's a pet that requires a lot of work. They are litter trainable (it's not hard) but you will still get the occasional pellet(s) around the house. They need a considerate amount of space for play, and they are indiscriminate chewers so you need to "bunny proof" the areas you let them run in. They love to dig, especially females, and will make quick work of your carpet. I was laying on the floor listening to music on my headphones once when mine ran right up to me and cut the cord in half before I even realized what was going on, she was litter trained very well but still insisted on pooping around my bed, and now thanks to her I'm going to have a hefty fee when I move out of my apartment due to her chewing up the rug in every spot she considered a safe hiding place. But all things considered, no regrets getting a rabbit.
I have to rabbits which have my big bedroom to live in. They have chewed everythinggggggggggggggg. lol I love them but I wish I had one pillow case without holes in it or my poor chewed carpet too. Either way I love em
lovely video. I had 2 rabbits but even though I had them fixed (both boys) they wouldn't get along so 1 was upstairs and 1 who was comfortable with downstairs stayed there. both not caged and we're potty trained. unfortunately bunnies do not have a long life span, about 7yrs. and they have gone to heaven now. but if you can rabbit proof your house and can afford vet bills if they become I'll, they are wonderful pets who love to be loved. I don't recommend having bunnies around young children. I miss my bunnies all the time!
K. H. i see, some kids are pretty rough with small animals but you can teach them not to, just like how you can teach a dog to be gentle with little kids..
Aspie Otaku If you have them spayed or neutered they don't poop as much they are marking their territory with the poop unlike a cat that will use urine to mark it's territory.
Christy Stock Hmm I did not know that, but I dont bother with that since they only live for 3 to 4 years, I just clean the rat cage every couple days, plus I like breeding em at times to replace the older dying ones, it is not to uncommon for them to get tumors or tb at times either, but by the time they get it they are over 3 years old.
+Aspie Otaku getting them spayed or neutered drastically decreases their chances of getting cancerous tumors, and breeding them just to replace the old ones is just wrong....
Grace Brown Well? I had a pet Boa Constrictor I bred half the rats for food for it and the other rats I kept as pets. Replacing rats is not wrong when they die of old age they only live for like 3 years. They multiply fast, I had one rat give birth to a litter of 20 babies her second litter was 14 we named her Eve.
+Aspie Otaku Jeez that's awful D: This video is for people who love rabbits. They can live up to 10-12 if you are a good pet owner. This involves have them vaccinated twice a year and neutered since they are 4-5 months old. This video is not for you. Get out.
My bunny is almost like yours! He always tries to get my chocolate, he hates his cage, but is potty trained. The funniest thing about him is that he has the fur pattern of a panda. He got black spots on his eyes.
He reminds me of Pepe. Naughtyness, the cuddles, the greedyness, and oh mi goodness, if someone came over, he behaved like a buncheeti who never got any attention, it was so embarassing when this girl pointed out "you should spend more time with your bunny, he is so loveable" i gave Pepe such a stink eye, no other bunny got as much love as him!!!! Its a never ending well of "love me now...." he never got enough and neither could I :)
he is cuty...i also had an adorable rabbit but yesterday that we were returning from our vacasions he died in my arms...ten minutes before we get to the vet!!! now i got a new little bunny but i still missing my only love...Milo/!!!
Hi Nicholas, thanks for the enjoyable video. I need to get a potty to train my new rabbit to use. Yours seems to fit your large rabbit ok. What brand is it and where did you get it from? (I had a look online and can't seem to find one similar - only similar looking ones that are smaller, for small breeds of rabbits). Thanks Steve
My newzealand white is about 5 months old and is completely potty trained..he is so playful and really binky..he eats with my hand and sleeps on my bed and sometimes near our feet..
Wow! Loads of mixed views on here, all have great points... They are great pets but yup, need quite a bit of work and space just like other pets. My bun Parker is an indoor rabbit, litter boxed trained etc etc... Takes a lot of my attention not to mention the amount of money i must spend on him but in all honesty if people cant afford to look after themselves then don't buy a pet......simple! Good video by the way! :)
What i loved about my Rabbit, was how simple his love was. He didn't need you to pet him all the time like a dog, nor was he as needy as a cat who wanted food etc. He was happy by me simply being in the same room as him :) When i was studying he'd run around me a couple of times, run around in the room, eat, drink and then just fall asleep right next to my feet. :)
my cat liked to be around me even tho i'm not the one that feed him. now its an end for me because i'm being rude with him
When I was studying for my stockbroker's licence he would periodically try to "read" my books and apparently couldn't figure out why I was staring at them so much. He'd always give me that "why?" look after doing that.
Well said and accurate, a great relationship.
Remember when my bunny was still alive, sometimes during weekends when I would sleep longer , he would run up to the second floor of my house where I was sleeping, jump on my bed and wake me up.

my bunny has such an attitude. rabbits literally have a personality. it's great haha
so cute, our bunny is 10 years old. our old man lol.
oh she/he looks so happy you are great to do this for him/her
Seeing Thumper so happy and free makes me sad, my cousins had a bunny for a while but they kept him caged all the time and he never learned to trust them. He was stiff and tense 100% of the time. Bunnies always look so much happier when they're comfortable and free to roam!
Quels beaux, dynamiques et sympathiques lapins, dans une famille aimante et qui prend bien soins d'eux. Merci pour la vidéo 👍😃.
Great video! Good job. I love rabbits soooo much. I work away a lot so I can't have my own pets so I enjoy watching RUclips videos of people's pet rabbits so keep 'em coming. Thanks!
This is so awesome! Well done mate!!!
They are absolutely cute and gorgeous!
in this vid it said non potty trainable but they can easily be litter trained
They will never fully be trained. they will still poop out of place sometimes.
***** like I said before, they will still poop out of the litter box even if it's still in their cage. no bunny will poop in the litter box all the time.
+KawaiiCrazy all rabbit breeds and temperments are different.
+Brooke Hamsters if they are trained really good they won't poop out of the cage
Geared up Activities there will still be accidents here and there. no bunny is perfect, especially if you feed them outside of the cage.
Nice job on your video! Rabbits make great pets. We keep them on our homestead and the one awesome thing about rabbits you missed is what their droppings can do for your garden :). Keep up the good work and give Thumper a small piece carrot.
I got a wild rabbit from my cousin.
damn that bitch is wild
😂😂😂
Lol adopt one or buy one
Oh my god 😂
I totally laughed at this
Nebby Lmaooo 😂😂
I miss having bunnies! I wish I could have given them better living environments. We never set up a fenced area in the backyard for them to hop around in. And even though I let my buns hop around freely about the house, they ultimately had to stay in a cage.
I have a black rabbit named midnight and he has one white paw and some brown patches
A have a fully black bunny named Bubbles. He will turn 5 years in September.
"The cuteness overrules the evilness" ha ha ha! I am so totally with you on this one :) They can be evil ^^
So adorable!!!😄😄😄 thumper is quite a jumper!😂 he looks very happy! And your baby is adorable too! Beautiful family! Made me happy to see this video!
Your bunny looks exactly like mine, and is as funny and lovely
Good job on the video. I love my rabbits. They have always lived indoors, but I prefer they go back to their home (cage) when I'm not supervising them. I've had a variety of breeds, both male and female, and there is something special and different about them all.
How cute! My buns are little terrors. But like you said the cute outweighs the naughty.
So lovely to watch such a nice family with animals, gorgeous child and 2x parents & who all seem so happy & content.
I've had mine for 13 years. They have alot of pro's, a few cons too... Unfortunately. Biggest one is the chewing. Otherwise great pets and mine is just a total sweetheart.
Great video! Your bunny looks so happy and spoiled lol.

😍😍the holland lop bunnies r so cute!!!
my bunny trained himself to use a litter box!
My rabbit only poops or pees in one corner of her cage, unless she's not near her cage.
When he carries around the balloon. OMG. I just can't.
They look like very happy bunnies - well done!
Bunnies are fabulous! : ) Great video. Be sure to keep chocolate and other no-nos out of bunny's reach!
Wish you could have talked lil bit about the evilness^^
The last bunny i had, had the habit to bite when it didn't want any contact or generally had enough. Not hard, just sorta play bite where i didn't even have any teethmarks on my skin. Oh and all the bunnies before made me an expert on cable repairs... left my headphones on the bed, now i got two, three, four pieces of it :D
Hahaha this is true having four pieces of headphones in like wow look at that "great job" 😂
FinalplayerRyu I can feel your sadness in :D
All animals play bite. All animals reach a limit and want to be left alone. Cats especially. That's no big deal...
We just lost our house bunny "Robert" at 9 years old. He looked exactly like Thumper. It's so true they can be quite naughty but every thing they do is so darn adorable !
Propably the coolest pet, better then cat for sure.
this really is what it's like to have a pet bunny! What a great video!

Beautiful bunny!
At least I'm not allergic to bunny-vids :,(
Hali St. Louis THIS COMMENT. I literally bought a bunny rabbit for Christmas and it turns out, I'm allergic! Now they're an outside bunny.
+Slothlax man, that sucks... I feel bad for you.
+Slothlax Aww that's so sad! I could never handle any of my pets living outdoors, I've only ever had inside pets and I would feel so far away from them, ha ha!
+Slothlax aww that sinks! I'm getting my first rabbit tomorrow don't think I am alergic because I hold them at pet stores and at camps I'm lucky lol

Oh my gosh this was really good I have a bunny and I totally agree with you!
That bunny has a great life with you!
A bunny as a house pet is just AUSOME - FANTASTIC - FUN - COMICAL. Every day is different FUN day!!!!! XXX
Great video, thanks for uploading.
Nice vid!! My mum sister loved it too
My rabbit kicks all of her bedding out of her litter box before she uses it -_-
Mone Moore same 😂😂😂 bedding everywhere but inside the litter box
Eric Mayo Lol yeah some of these youtubers seem to have such well behaved bunnies
You don't need to have bedding. Look into using a fleece blanket as the base of the cage :)! Remember reading somewhere that bunnies can get bedding stuck in the ear or something which can also be bad.
But then she would just rip the fleece out of her liter box, I think
Try hemp "rodent" mats. You can cut them up into a small piece fitting the litter box, then put a thin layer of hemp wood chips bedding on top. Works like a dream.
Gave it a thumbs up just because of the background music! 😆😂👍🏾
each rabbit has its own personality
Omg love it :0) I saw him playing with the balloon and it reminded me of my Buster bunny(2000-2006)he used to do that too, trying to taslk hubby into getting another bigger bunny and house train it, ide like a Flemish giant :0)
it's worth every minute of it.
beautiful I love rabbit the most I have.
I think ill stop watching bunny videos.. Untill I get one ;-;
sokratis 123 It's a pet that requires a lot of work.
Happy RUclipsr thanks for the information mate! ill make sure to take care of those things if I buy one.
All those binkies! Soooooo cute! xx
Love it!!
I miss my bunnies all the time!
how come you wouldn't recommend having bunnies around young children?
actually for the rabbits safety. theyre fragile.
K. H. i see, some kids are pretty rough with small animals but you can teach them not to, just like how you can teach a dog to be gentle with little kids..
They sure are cute but they poop a lot!
+Aspie Otaku Jeez that's awful D:
This video is for people who love rabbits.
They can live up to 10-12 if you are a good pet owner.
This involves have them vaccinated twice a year and neutered since they are 4-5 months old.
This video is not for you.
Get out.
I love the baby!!!!!😱😊
I have house rabbit too, I love him so much
It's amazing to have rabbit 😗
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS VIDEO !!! TY TY TY XOXOXO SOOO FREEKEN CUTE !!!
he is cuty...i also had an adorable rabbit but yesterday that we were returning from our vacasions he died in my arms...ten minutes before we get to the vet!!! now i got a new little bunny but i still missing my only love...Milo/!!!
Your rabbits are so cute and lovely
Adorable 😍 I love this video. I have a pet rabbit called Jefrin
This is the best thing I've ever seen!!!!
Really enjoyed this video!
have you ever eaten one of those? i heard they taste fantastic.
Seems like a great home for a bunny :)
Really cute video.
I've just seen rabbit special needs that bunny is amazing like yours
I meant at rabbit special needs. Not sure I agree about lettuce though but amazing bunny there like a little dog
My bunny is just like thumper while doing binkies. Except doing them 24/7 😂
AWE! The little brown one looks like my Haussie! :)
My newzealand white is about 5 months old and is completely potty trained..he is so playful and really binky..he eats with my hand and sleeps on my bed and sometimes near our feet..
awww I bet its a cute life having a pet bunny! :D so cute!
He looks just like my Sebastien! About the same size too. I love house buns.
I appreciate this so much
I'm in love!!
Can't help thinking they need to be outdoors, and where I live having a rabbit on the grass outside would get the whole neighbourhood talking.
