This same thing actually happened to my family and I when I was a child. Some 45 years ago we set out on our yearly fun day only to find Carowinds completely shuttered. All dressed in summer shorts and flip flops my father set off to find us another fun adventure for the day. We ended up at the Wizard of Oz which of course was up in the mountains and was very cold. It was such a neat place and I'm so grateful because of that closure I was able to visit it. Yes I will never forget I thought I would freeze to an ice cube. haha
Despite the superficial resemblance, mastodons were distinct from mammoths. Mastodon were shorter and stockier than mammoths with shorter, straighter tusks. Mastodons were wood browsers and their molars have pointed cones specially adapted for eating woody browse.
Some pretty sweet taxidermy dioramas in that museum. That's an art form that the artist typically doesn't get enough credit for. My city, Westfield Mass, has black squirrels. A philanthropic business man imported them from Austria for a park he built and they have spread to neighboring areas. They seem to exist happily with our indigenous gray squirrels, but there doesn't seem to be inbreeding. No light charcoal squirrels that I've seen.❤ 🐿 Some of my favorite taxidermy dioramas are the squirrels doing human activities like bowling(with acorns) and playing other sports. My adult daughter purchased a taxidermy squirrel half, the back end including tail. Just thought you'd want to know that. 😂 Sorry about the rain out.
Didn't realise how much I missed the drone footage! Really loving seeing it again, gives another perspective and layer to the places you visit. Thanks for all you do Jacob.
4:42 Jacob TCB you’re so funny when you look through the South Carolina Postcard 🖼 Frame! Whenever you do something like that, it’s so hilarious and you look 👀 around the room.
I’m surprised you haven’t been picked up by a major network for a travel series. Your videos are professional and the way you talk and give lots of info is top notch. All one would have to do is watch other peoples channels and nobody is as good as you. Keep up to great work.
Lived in Gaffney for 4 years. Glad I'm out of there lol lots of bad things picked up after we moved, be careful out there man. You're amazing!! Can't wait till you're next video!
Good to see in last video you got a new drone, it will be good to see from the sky all the things you'll be doing in the coming videos. That museum with the wildlife is amazing to see. Thanks for sharing Jacob.😊 Stay safe 🙏
Random....but I had never seen a black squirrel in Pittsburgh, PA in my life. Now I keep seeing them EVERYWHERE! I don't know where they're coming from, but they are beautiful!
We used to "crack" jokes about the Peachoid an icon of being mooned while going down the highway. Once while going to college, I met up with other college students there since it was a great spot for a meetup on a long road trip!
You were in my neck of the woods. I’m definitely going to have to check out that South Carolina Welcome Center bench! Seems like the ultimate “thrill ride” 😂 The weather really didn’t seem bad enough to shut down a theme park over, but welcome to South Carolina anyway! Hope you enjoyed our rides. I mean, our benches 😁
Makes me happy to hear the theme music for Possum 4. It is like the entrance music for a wrestler. When you hear it, you instantly know what you are going to see
There's always some lemonade out there out of the lemons of life! I'm glad I'm in California where amusement parks like that rarely close due to weather. Or for the winter. Keep up the good work!
LOL In South Carolina's defense, they are calling for very gusty/dangerous winds between 12 noon and 8pm today. I live just south of Greenville, South Carolina, and we have been having strong winds the past few days. I'm sorry Carowinds closed early.
Way to go with the flow of Life Jacob 🙌🌧️🌊🏄🌟 A great off the cuff video 🌟 I love when You invoke the 'eum rule ❣️😻 The face You made when talking about you know who from House of Cards 😵💫😝😹 Thank You for " making lemonade 🍋" with the day 🙏💝😻
always enjoy your museum visits, I learn so much wiith each one. Also, enjoy your antics. Have a question, do the annoying kids travel with you, or just follow you every where? 😃
Allegedly, Bobbie the Wonder Dog covered 2,551 miles on his own to return home to Silverton, Oregon after he was lost while his owners were travelling in the 20's.
Nice. Wish I knew you were in town. That museum is only about 15 from my house. Very nice and bigger than it looks from the outside! Sorry I missed you. Yes, the weather is mostly high winds in the area. Enjoy the Carolina’s. There is another visitor center if you go into NC from Carowinds , the NC one just as you get on the highway. Both are very nice and I get all my travel info from both. 💕👍🙂
Oh my..if swinging on a bench is almost as fun as an amusement park..that doesn't speak very highly of the fun that the amusement park offers and u may have lucked out actually 😂😂
Hi carpetbagger, I had made a comment earlier today. About the fair thats going to be in south carolina this month. I sent you an email about it. Enjoyed the video. Have a blessed day. The comment that I made earlier was removed not sure why.
They could've snuck in a Chocolate Coin or a Jolly Roger flag as South Carolina holds the wreck of the probably the most infamous pirate ship of them all, the Queen Anne's Revenge, although no one knows where Blackbeard's remains are (Body may have been thrown overboard, his head was hung from Msynards Bowsprit and was lost to time, this all occured in North Carolina though after QAR had been wrecked and abandoned).
I live n upstate SC. Next time u should go to the old mill town Lando. They have a good musuem. It's more of old stuff from the town and mill. Tells u how it was living their in the late 1800s into the early 1900s. Its a childs casket in the basement. Was it used....idk lol...The old school buildings still their and they say its a old graveyard around it but no stones are left. Landsford Canel State Park is a cool olace to go to. Theres a 1700s graveyard down the road from it
I can't remember the town but there is a town in Kansas that has black squirrels and the history is years and years ago they got loose from the circus and they breeded so now the town is overpopulated with black squirrels

Very observant. ✌😎
So glad they closed the park today! That weather was horrible! You are a real trooper to endure the horrific weather for us! Thank you Jacob!

4:42 Jacob TCB you’re so funny when you look through the South Carolina Postcard 🖼 Frame! Whenever you do something like that, it’s so hilarious and you look 👀 around the room.
The museum of York County was great. It's nice to see the giant peach is still there. Thanks, Jacob ❤
Jacob, his smile, and possum 3 are BACK!!!😁👌🏼👌🏼
The first time I heard about Gaffney and the Peach was from House of Cards. At first I thought it was something they made up just for the show.
I’m surprised you haven’t been picked up by a major network for a travel series. Your videos are professional and the way you talk and give lots of info is top notch. All one would have to do is watch other peoples channels and nobody is as good as you. Keep up to great work.

You sure the weather issue wasn’t wind related? From this area and it was extremely windy, might be bad for roller coasters.
