Gordon Campbell sold it to CN in 2004, they bought all rolling stock, equipment and leased the track and most the land for 99 years, there are a few stations and shops they actually bought. There is still the first 23miles that is still bcrail

Saw a very old BC Rail locomotive on a Union Pacific train in Nebraska today. Still sounded like it was running good to.
