DISCLAIMER: This is just a budget setup with the intention of moving into the bigger end game PoB. The build is effective at this level but your goal SHOULD be to spend more and continue upgrading. I am not suggesting that this is some game breaking budget setup that farms ubers, just a nice comfortable checkpoint that is great for blasting maps and getting profit.

I said it multiple times during the video and in the description but again: This is intended to be a checkpoint before higher investment. Because of popularity of videos driving up costs, this may end up costing you [a little more] than 10 divines to put together exactly what I have here but this is just for setting some goal posts for you to aim for and showing what moderate investment can look like as you aim for a bigger build later on. I'm not trying to advertise this as some godlike budget build, just something that's much more effective than it's been in the past at this level due to the 3.21 changes.
In fact, I'd love to watch a tutorial how you can craft your high end amulet and bow.
I totally get this now after trying to search for widowhails and anything with attack speed/global being 10D+ Just gambled a few and got something usable until I can craft the end game bow
yeah seeing how the timeless jewels are 20+ divs now, the bow with a tree is like 10 divs you can't really make this "budget" version anymore without suffering a huge dps loss from what you're showing in the video, nice video but as it is, double edged sword, now that you've showed it off the prices are just way to outrageous for performance
Thank you for this! It's so close to my TS build in terms of skills and items that I now have a better idea of how to push things further. I only started this game 2 weeks ago but I got stuck on how to improve. I couldn't rely on most of the guides since they're too expensive or just too different that it confuses the hell out of me.

I've been using this for about a week. I have invested in a pretty nice belt, hands and feet and rolled my own cluster jewels with Arcing Shot (one of which has Chaos Res on the small passives), and I've discovered that this is a MONSTER Blight mapper. I can stay close to the pump and because the Arcing Shot is ramping up damage at distance I can avoid having to put myself in too much danger. I've always enjoyed blight, but never had this much success with it.

That's how i ended up watching your videos. I had the idea to go for a bow build, and now you're doing these awesome vids. Really felling in the line with what's you're doing and it's really well explained (even tho eng not my main language). So thank you very much!!

I think there is no diffence in crafting process for the high end amulet, I assume you still need to do the exact same thing to get % increased dex and damage per dex, you just need to luck out and get bunch of good mods with these two :D
OK, so I checked craft of exile and it seems like you can get both damage per dex and % increase dex on redeemer amulet. Magic amulet even, because one is prefix and one is suffix. Then you can get % increase attributes on shaper amulet. So I guess you can then merge them with awakener's, just like the budget one. I'm not 100% sure that's how Subtractem did this, but it sure seems like it should be possible to do it like this. I'm just imagining alter spamming redeemer amulet until I get those two ... :D oof? Maybe there is a better way. If there is, then extra video about the amulet craft might be helpful. I don't even know if you are guaranteed to retain all 3 influenced mods, because I only used awakener's on items with 1 on each and in that case I retained both.
It only picks one mod from each base randomly so you can't craft it like that.
For the high end amulet you want to awaken the two attribute suffixes then suffix lock and reforge influence. It is much more expensive to make.

It's now around 25 divines for the mediochre budget stacker which will barely be equal to the advertised build. I only really recommend investing into a stacking build like this if you have 50-60+++. Heatshiver, yoke, taming iceshot build still deals more damage on a single divine than a ~10div variant of this does with the price bump from the video making all the rare essentials worse in price.
That's too bad but honestly expected. In the vids when he was going over the gear he continuously mentioned the "low supply, low demand" ... Now with low [no?] supply and high demand it's no wonder that key pieces of the build are 20 divine by themselves OR not available at all. Still you might be able to buy vanilla items and check the crucible passives yourself and see if you hit something good ; craft yourself from bases ; etc. ???
The inherent problem with a "here's a build that costs this much currency to put together" by anyone reasonably popular is that the price is out of date almost as soon as the video is released, lol
I am not sure how is this 25div right now? I am considering to play a dex stacker, since I have never done that before. And it's obvious that prices went up. But I see how this build can still be practically the same at ~10div investment, if you're only a bit lucky. Half of the gear is uniques, that are kinda ~1div each. And rares are craftable.
Yeah the big thing folks are missing is you don't need ANY tree/roll on the bow. Just buy 5-10c bows and add trees to them. It'll get you started for cheap. I said it in the video but as usual folks try to buy exactly what's in the guide instead of just grabbing cheap versions as advised.
The thing is, this is cool and interesting build with some interesting crafts that I get to try for the first time. So from my point of view, it is worth dumping currency into this build, because the moment I went over 3M DPS - so like the first moment I equipped the most scuffed gear of my first iteration :D - I had enough DPS for mapping anyway AND I have fun playing this and learning about the interactions and crafts. It also looks really good, which matters, you want to enjoy the build you will spend time farming on. So basically what I'm trying to say is - not every build has to be THE META most cost efficient build in the world and I don't know how much more can Subtractem emphasise that this WILL get expensive, very fast. I just threw 14 div on a ring like an hour ago :D. It was stated in the video that this is your entry level, which you should intend to leave behind for much more expensive setup ASAP and at the same time it was NOT stated in the video, that this is hyper cost effective META map clear. But that's just my take - my reason why I'm dumping divines into this. It is probably fair to tell people they can clear with less expensive build, they sure can. But what are the divines for anyway right? :D I never have more divines in my stash than I need for the next upgrade, divine orbs are gear tokens, I fully intend to end the league with flat 0 :D.
Since they changed the annointment on the amulet what do you recommand now? Since it is a big nerf for this build.
That cold per dex crucible mod is so rare. I still havent been able to find one, but I have 2 bows with 30% increased dex waiting to be split and combined with it.
I think it's a mod only available through mutation (random chance when combining trees), not by normally revealing trees. I might be wrong but I recall seeing someone say that. Edit: now I realize it's stated clearly in the video itself

Man I really hate when I find a cool and fun build to play but then I see the video explaining the build, items etc. and find out that the build relies on very lucky and extremely rare corrupted/syntehsized mods like the ones on both rings or the nodes on that unique bow, for example. That's so discouraging.

Glad i got this started before sub jacks up the prices.
This was my league starter, but I never got the weapon mod so lacking like 1/3rd of the damage. But it could still do red maps. Bossing on the other hand felt awful.
If you get a perfect 250% Widowhail + a Poised Prism with the +1 arrow corrupted implicit (yes this is still in the game), Widowhail increases this to 2.5 arrows, which rounds up to +3 arrows
Is that tested or just a hypothetical? Because given how Cluster jewels interact with the 35% increased effect mod (I.E flooring numbers) I doubt that works.
since when does anything in poe ever round up?
@@Jc-go3mz it doesn't. anything over 200% increased is adding 2 arrows to the 1 the quiver gives, and making +3 arrows. AFAIK rounding up isn't a thing.
What 250% WILL give you, is extra max damage on those "1 to 2 damage per dex" rolls, since 2 increased by 250% is 5, whereas 2 increased by 249% will round down to 4.
this has made me realise, they may be mixing up wjhat happens to a +1 corrupted, +1 explicit quiver. that 2 arrows would then be increased to +5 (looking like it has "rounded up" to +3 extra when it hit 250%)

Ive played 3 PoE leagues so far. I can never get a build that clears as fast as these content creators in time before a new league starts lol. Let alone building up enough currency for a second build
Oh you Will get there, i didn't even started making real builds and some currency until I had like 1k hours in the Game, as long as you have fun, that's what matters :)
The game is, dare I say, too complex ATM to be easily understandable and digestible, it takes time to understand all the systems and how they work together. Most of the clear speed and currency gain comes from accumulated knowledge.
Unfortunately, GGG has never really succeeded in bringing the power floor and ceiling closer together. They can't really bring the ceiling down or people would riot because it's become something of a power fantasy game (though I must say, it became that over time, it was never intended to be from the beginning) but likewise they're concerned bringing everyone up to the power fantasy just leans even more in that direction.
Keep going and do the bits you enjoy and the experience will pay off in its own time. One lesson most people learn is to not compare themselves too unfavourably to streamers and the like with thousands of hours and/or for whom PoE content creation is their job. You're doing well

@@subtractem Yup and Cyclopean Coil is a great budget alternative to a synth belt. I have a dex deadeye spectral throw build in Standard that I’m always looking for upgrades for.
Right now I’m working on a 9% dex rare shield with a crucible tree with another 6% and increased implicit values

I started iceshot this league(not dex stacking) and kinda needed smth to kill bosses but 4now after having boss killer i need again smth to clear maps faster than my summoner, will give i a try

What am I missing with the Better Trading?? When I try to "Restore from File" in Better Trading I'm consistently getting an import failed. The pastebin coded directly fails, copies of the file downloaded fails, copies of the data pasted into a new local file fails ... What am I missing?
Update: I had to ignore the instructions given around @33:30. I copied the data in the pastebin [selected everything then control-c] and then did an IMPORT in better trading as opposed to a restore from file. Once I edited some garbage at the end of the string I had copied everything started working

Ive been looking at the endgame pob and cant really figure out how to craft the shaper bow , however I have figured out how to craft a similar bow albeit a bit weaker . I'm thinking you can get a hunter base bow then essence spam until you have flat cold damage as the only prefix and 2 suffixes with 1 being cold ress . After that multimod , prefixes cannot be changed and suffixes cant be changed . This will gaurantee a reforge cold giving 2 - 4 per 10 dex and an open prefix . This way it leaves you with an open prefix , and suffixes to be crafted which is when things get more rng based .

How do you guys get the skills in the skill tree while not being linked(Multishot & Master Fletcher)? I'm new to poe, sorry.
A unique jewel called thread of hope let's you do that.
The best part about vengent cascade is running away from an enemy, stopping and not having to turn around, just shooting in front of you and hitting them behind you and running some more. Yeah, you lose 50% of your damage but it's the only way to fight some essence monsters. Previous league's I'd just loose 6 portals to some rares, now I just Scooby Doo them across the map.
This build costs like 50 divine to get it anywhere close to where you have it here in the "budget version" xD
(Brutal Restraint alone is 20 div for any of the versions in your guide, Dex % implicit ring base 14+ divine, Herald of Ice Anguish ring doesn´t even exist on the market anymore xD)
Crazy how one video completely skyrockets the prices for items you got for 1 div or less, before they were cool.
I wish I was better at making my own builds, but they always end up lacking in dmg or defenses and never seem to feel good to play.
You can always adapt the items like I mention in the video.
I just did a search and you can use two Circle of Fear rings with inc cold damage instead of a rare ring (5c each).
I did another search like I showed how to do in the video for the duelist jewels and there are a bunch of good ones at 50-100 chaos.
It's very important to really ingest the information that I try to teach in the video and not just use the copy pasted example materials that I provide.
I did another search for alternate widowhail trees and there's plenty with different versions of the same mods that are pretty cheap also.
@@subtractem wasn't trying to criticize you in case it came off that way, this happens with all budget builds by RUclipsrs unless they only use like 1c uniques that literally can't go up in price :D
The problem is that a lot of players will import a POB and go for the EXACT gear that the streamer has with the EXACT stats and when you search for things like that, you're gonna have a bad time. I've probably put 15-20 div into the setup so far and if you know where and how to shuffle some things around and what corners to cut, you'll make your life SO much easier. Also what Subtractem said about crafting is VERY true. It's not worth buying the stuff you can craft yourself.
Hey @subtractem, what would be an optimized farming strat with that build? I only have 3,5k life and 4M dmg with that build. Love the build btw.
Pretty sure that Widow Hail is good on DoT builds as well, since you can get over 150% DoT Multi and same other good stat boosts out of it.
Another thing I've seen are some Accuracy stackers with Widow Hail.
Damn those timeless jewels are already getting sniped so hard :(
hungry loop for 1 manaforged setup maybe? 60% ele res 70 life and 6% dex as a tradeoff for 4 sockets might be worth it
Very interesting idea! I think that's a tough sacrifice to make but more arrows is fun.

Is the barrage support in the PoB something you mainly swap to for bossing or high hp enemies? Or just a preference thing?
I gotta get a white socket on my bow for easy swapping

30:26 I's not 10div for the base. That price is accounting for all the rolls. It even says at the top of the Awakened POE that the base is 4 chaos.

@@subtractem OK I guess we have different definitions of "base". So in this case, what is the "base item -> 5 x chaos" referring to?
Base item includes synth implicit. It is an altered base. 5 chaos would just be for item level and previous base like "diamond ring" but synthesizing an item changes what the base is.

yes. the vaal portion is your "firing squat". a big part of your boss-killing.
Hey its my first bow build. Can some one explain me how we get 8 mana cost for ice shot in the expensiv version? I have the 2 ring and amulet craft and the mana/life mastery aswell as divergent inspiration and im at 14 mana. I dont get how he does it. Thanks in advance for the help

any build can do blighted mobs with the correct ring anoints it's very easy and depending on the monster spawners and map (tower spawn spots) you can afk it without attacking yourself.
@@SubtleSerpent true of any good build you craft yourself. My ele bow cost me 10d to craft, it's worth 30-40d.
Kind of. The bow has a nice but not perfect tree so maybe a few divines for that and the brutal restraint is sadly one of a kind at the moment.
Everything else is a cheap off the shelf unique or quickly crafted rare that is, unfortunately due to the small economy, worth more than before I made the video but still not worth a LOT more.
The shopping list is very helpful but I see no amulet and the quiver I think needs 2 implicit modifiers.
I said in the video the amulet is something you craft yourself and the default quiver is fine.
should i sacrifice 30% project damage for 50% project speed :?
How to do the reforge crit on the cluster jewel? It tells me: there are no valid mods on for this craft on this item.
It has to be a bow attack cluster jewel
btw you could also use the quiver that has pierce implicit so you can save 2 skill points
You can't get pierce as quiver corruption, so no.

Hey Subtractem! You mentioned the widowhail breakpoint is 220%. If you get a 250% bow with a crucible mod that increases explicit modifiers of quivers can you reach the next breakpoint? I’m bad at math
250% is indeed the ideal breakpoint, just hard to hit/expensive!

i have a question about ensnaring arrow. why doesn't it work with pierce? I didn't quite understand why.
It doesn't snare if it pierces, that's just how it works.

My buddy and I are new and he got a 6link armor and a exalted orb by act 8. I've been doing maps now for like 50 hours past him and yet no 6link or exalted orb. Wtf..
Thats totally normal. One of my mates found 2 divines while leveling. I got my first one with level 93 :) Just keep playing! Look for an easy budget build and a good farm strat and rock it

why is 220% the breakpoint here for the bow? I would think for 1 to 2 added the breakpoint would be 200% and 250%
Exactly 250% is indeed the ideal breakpoint but that's obviously much more expensive. 220% will round up different implicits on the quiver depending on what you what corrupt it into (also eveningly hits 96% off of the base implicit).
It's really not that special of a breakpoint but it's low enough that it's a good value bargain.

It can roll as a synth implicit or as influence (such as Redeemer on amulets).

I am a new player. Is 10 divine considered as budget? I thought 1-2 divines were budget, 10-15 divines were expensive & 20 divine plus was luxary builds.
Just go with palstreon build. Toxic rain ballista let's you clear everything except Uber on a budget. This build here is expensive, especially later on when you want to clear bosses
Hey, thanks a lot for this guide. It seems still doable with the current prices. Do you think it's still worth it? Should i try and use even up to 20div, if that's required, for switching into this build? It looks really fun and i wanted to do a bow dex stacker, so it check all the boxes for me. I am just worried if this is going to be good enough. Looks good, though :D
My other options are staying on TR pf, or switching to LS raider.
Also is it possible to do it on like lvl 95? what would i drop for that? trickery, spell suppress, maybe a jewel socket? Maybe a more efficient cluster jewel?
I think so! The main thing I want to emphasize is your goal should be to aim for a higher endpoint here. This is just a stopping point to farm more as you improve later on. I'd drop the 8 passive cluster if you're lower level and keep all the utility.
@@subtractem cool thanks. Yeah, i understand about this being a checkpoit. The question is: is this checkpoint worth it? When I can play really any other ranger build or my current build as a checkpoint.
I can say that with character I made, which isn't even as good as the budget version PoB, I was still doing T16 Dune and Cemetery Legion farm at good pace. The build is fun to play and clears fast at fraction of DPS Sub has :D. The only problems you might face is killing unique bosses and really fat rares, because this is AOE oriented build and single target gets good only when you have massive DPS overall and survivability - it's kinda glass. Both problems are resolved in the high budget version, which does outrageous damage, so even bosses don't matter at that point and it allows you to drop some damage to utility/survivability if you feel like it. I imagine Progenesis flask helps a lot, with both chaos res, which you will have trouble stacking and with preventing oneshots, but I personally just go for more damage now in my upgrades. Dead mobs can't hit you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hey, can you tell if ensnaring arrow work with vengeant cascade? I don't have chain, only pierce, eye bow checked it, the arrow never ensnare enemies since they always return to you.
If you have no pierce on the way out you're good. That's why, in this setup with pierce, I don't use it. In my higher end version I use fork/chain so it doesn't pierce. It will not snare on the way back with VC.
@@subtractem I tested with no pierce/chain/fork/split on single target. It still not works. What happened is when Ensnaring arrow paired with VC, it hit the target and come back to you. Only hit target once, since there is no pierce. The skill only ensnares enemies when the arrow disappear.
You're right! That's unfortunate. I just tested with/without Ricochet and everything, dang! I replaced it with Phantasmal Puncture.
@@subtractem I also read around and know that sniper's mark doesn't work 100% with VC. Because when the initial arrow split from the marked target, it go random. Only if one of the split line up or almost line up with the initial direction can come back and hit enemy again. This is hard to test because there are too many projectiles though.
@@georgemin2793 I'm pretty sure it does work if you position correctly. I mentioned that in the video. You have to stand on top of the monster but it should be a huge DPS boost.

Dude, I'm trying this budget dex stacker and your farming strat and I have issues. I only dropped 3 raw divines in last 30 minutes and I can't get full deli rewards, because there are no mobs left on the map after 30 seconds. What can I do to fix this?

Good job. That's more RAW div than I've seen all league and I've had a fair amount of time invested with my L98 [no carries] so it's not like I hadn't played. If it wasn't for crafting & atlas strats that worked well for me I wouldn't have any wealth at all.
@@erutherford Tbf majority of my divines also come from selling stuff, raw drops are rare. I just randomly lucked, had 2 drops and the second duped. Sometimes happens, mostly doesn't, that's life :D

Omni alone is worth more than everything I spent here.
@@subtractem Unfortunately the brutal restraints that are on your better trading are 10+ divines, still cheaper than Omni, but people always going to ruin the fun for the people who don't have much time to play. I appreciate you putting this together though!
@@spencerbass8156 you can search different ones yourself and get a cheap one, any brutal restraint will be good for this build, then you can buy better ones in notables in the future

lol I've never seen that dex mod on a single bow tree and i been rollin them since the start.
It's only from combining so you won't see it naturally.
I feel like on the endgame version prism doesn't do as much and getting a rare quiver could be better even if its just for convince .
Yeah I just checked and a full damage perfectly crafted quiver is about 12% more damage. A nice bump but hard to justify since we lose 75% resists and it's so tight already.
@@subtractem for resistance it’s such a weird case scenario where I think it would be best to just ditch getting a lot of ress on gear and instead just go with purity of elements or if your super rich mageblood . Especially considering the build runs haste and endgame when you have a rare chest you will start feeling diminishing returns . I’m thinking of making a dex stacker tornado shot and while you won’t get vengeance cascade that frees up an amulet slot which could allow you to run an extra aura if you slot in enlighten and that would help with survivability . Also instead of going 2 dex rings you could just get frostbite on hit and whisper of doom (either pathing or if your running tornado shot anoint ) .

@@subtractem Fair enough but even on your version I don't think haste is adding much to the build and grace would provide more defence while purity of elements allows more flexible gearing .
Not my style, I just fundamentally disagree with doing that. Turning off Haste just makes the game less fun to play. I just tested again and it's night and day for quality of life and feel.

It's what I had, I made it myself. This loses less than 100k damage by using 20/20 so just do that until you can make a 21/20. Gem levels for most attacks are pretty minor compared to spells.
