Beehive checks and doing some hive maintenance.

Saturday morning my husband and I got into the Bees for some much needed maintenance of the beehives and adding honey supers and new bottom boards. The wood hives need to be maintained and check through the years. We have been Beekeepers for 10 years and are still learning all the time! I love the bees.
This is on a sign I have on the side of the shed.
Don't be afraid, as no life-loving bee wants to sting you. Still, don't be an idiot; wear long sleeves and pants. Don't swat. Don't even think about swatting. If you feel angry, whistle. Anger agitates while whistling melts a bee's temper. Act like you know what you're doing, even if you don't. Above all, send the bees love. Every little thing wants to be loved!
