Saturday morning my husband and I got into the Bees for some much needed maintenance of the beehives and adding honey supers and new bottom boards. The wood hives need to be maintained and check through the years. We have been Beekeepers for 10 years and are still learning all the time! I love the bees. This is on a sign I have on the side of the shed. Don't be afraid, as no life-loving bee wan...

Просмотров 5111 дней назад
Today I am planting sunflower seeds in root trainers. It is not too late! After planting, your sunflower will bloom into flowers between 80-120 days. The germination rate depends mainly on soil temperature and moisture. I included updates on the Caprese Salad planter and the Hydrangea and cutting garden planters. Also we look at the creeping buttercup area and how it's doing. #garden #update #f...
Weeding Creeping Buttercup out of my garden. #garden #novascotia #flowers #canada

In this video I am weeding out the dreaded Creeping Buttercup. INFO: All ranunculus species are poisonous to both animals and humans. If crushed or brushed, the leaves of buttercups release a compound called ranunculin that breaks down into protoanemonin, an acrid, toxic oil. Contact with protoanemonin will mess you up in a dermatitis kind of way, causing burning and itching with accompanying r...

How to propagate Nepeta (catmint)
Просмотров 1962 месяца назад
Nepeta racemosa ‘Walker’s Low’, commonly known as Catmint Nepeta racemosa ‘Walker’s Low’ is a herbaceous perennial plant that belongs to the mint family (Lamiaceae). It is native to the mountainous regions of Iran, Turkey, and the Caucasus. The name “Walker’s Low” is somewhat misleading, as it doesn’t refer to its height but rather to the location where it was discovered (the garden of a Mrs. W...
Getting started on the new lawn + a tour of the newly graded landscape! #gardening, #lawns,

We spent the weekend getting this area raked, rock picked and then seeded. To say we are tired is an understatement. Thankfully my husband helped me out and we worked hard. The payoff will be amazing! We then went to a facebook sellers house and picked up 10 Ostrich ferns for along the giant pile of roots and cut down branches. It is a wetter area down there and they should colonize. I love tho...
RCA stretches every where but we all come from a May flower.
This was wonderful!! Could you keep it outside instead?
Yes, absolutely
Wow the grass is really starting to come in nicely.
Yes I am amazed at the growth rate because I haven't watered it!
Your yard is just beautiful, you are great at putting plants together, your hat is just darling too.
Thank you! I got the hat at Walmart!
What a beautiful home, I love the big ol porch on it.
Thank you so much!
can't wait to see what happens , I have a forsythia I could try it with, I need to get some root hormone.
I took a peak into the container and they are still perky! Crossing my fingers that it works! :)
@@TheFloralBeeGarden Yayyy :D
I can't wait to try this, do you sell them when they are big enough?
No I don't sell them, I use them in my garden and gift them to friends. It really works well and I tried beebalm and it worked for that plant too!
@@TheFloralBeeGarden my yard is pretty small and I have 2 huge ones lol, gifting them is a great idea.
😮
:)
And april 1st is my birthday
This is my first year of winter sowing ❤ I am trying to have a pollinator garden. 🪴 I can’t wait to see your updates and results ❤️❤️🌸💐🌺
I am looking forward to seeing how the winter sowing did too! It worked for me last year so crossing fingers for both of us!
Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Thankyou @Randyb4ut
Cool to hear the rumble!!!
It really is nice to hear them buzzing around! I am working on the focus though and I am learning my new phone and gimbal. (I will improve!)
I tried to subscribe , but , RUclips says I have too many subscriptions !!!! Keep making gardening videos and I'll keep watching !!!! Thank you very much !!!!
Thanks kenbrown438, I never knew you only could subscribe to a certain number! Thanks for watching though!!!
I also winter sow, but my containers have covers.. so that I get a greenhouse effect. I have used plastic cloches from the dollar store. The containers from a rotisserie chicken also works great. Be sure to put drainage holes in tops and bottoms. I find the covers keep the squirrels and birds from disturbing the soil and seeds.
Great tip!
Lilah was so surprised to hear her name! All smiles and giggles 😊
SO happy she was excited! Hook them while they are kids to love gardening!
Lovely Michelle some woodland flox would be lovely there too.
That's a great idea Dale!
Very informative! Looks pretty with the orange!
Thank Donna!
I love the mix of plants you chose! I agree...the orange is really nice!
@@wendysawkins1358 Thank you! :)
