    Silly Eminem was just having fun, yet as a metalhead i think you see it as corny like a lot of "tough guys" in hip-hop.
    Still cool reaction but i could feel the remnants of disdain you had for this side of Em lol. Lyrically this song is still super well crafted.

      Much of this song is cemented in a certain culture and a certain age.
      There's a lot of cultural context that didn't age well. Song's still crazy, but.. who remember Chris from N'Sync anymore?

    The way Eminem displays his mastery of the language in terms of rhyming and cadence is what makes this song great. I know is a "weird" sound for Eminem but I love it, I think it shows how good he is.

    I'm no stan but if you look past the goofy music video and juvenile but catchy beat,
    you'll find one of the densest raps ever with multi layered rhymes with the wit and humor to rival Twain.
    Like his two previous lead singles, Hi my name is & The real slim shady, the album is kicked off by the jest (or slim shady) welcoming and introducing us to show that is about to commence.

    I am a die-hard rock)hard rock) metal, alternative Rock fan then,and now.(not a lot of us women are,should be more) I could recognize,even then 2002,that Eminem was/is a massive talent,unique and pretty brilliant.Controversial,,and sometimes offensive. His earlier stuff was silly,videos in particular-have to push that aside,dig more deeply in to his content. He was young here. He grew up like most people do. Still going at 47.He's a GOAT

    I'm a little late and I'm sure someone mentioned this in the comments but Forgot About Dre has both Em and Dre. I believe Dre was one of the producers on that but he also rapped in it, Guilty Conscious is another one they're both on. Guns Blazing is a newer song they're both on that was on "Music to be Murdered By, Side B"

    You guys seem clueless about old EMINEM, old EMINEM has had more deep tracks than his recent run by a country mile. This is a genius comedic track, even here he talks about FCC, kids listening to adult music, white music advantage, many references to pop incidents etc
    Wanna hear super deep EM tracks ? Rock Botton, The Way I am, Business, Don't give a fuck, Bonnie and Clyde , Sing for the moment etc, All of these are from old EM. Also, Forget about Dre is the best track with EM and Dre on

    A good rapper that raps pretty good and the lyrics are really good is NF, if you can try one of his songs I would recommend to start with Mansion, it’s really worth it and y’all won’t regret

    Early in his career Eminem had the same model for every album - drop a silly/jokey song as the lead single to his albums. The rest of the album was usually much different. This was one of them. Not my favorite Em song, but not bad. Loses a lot of its steam because it's nowhere near as controversial or topical now as it was back then.
