The Korean dance is also equivalent to this as this doesn't confined within India., had been performed throughout Asia which had been ruled by the King.Bharath., and India still retains His name as Baratha Nadu(country).
The Korean letters of your comment looks like the Baratha period (4000 years back) Brahmi letters.

It is not just dance but, Poetry, drum composition, singing and music all together. Therefore there are many layers operating here and you can switch your focus from one to the other as well as the gestalt.

Like our Body will not function only having a HEART or any other one organ..... But cells to the whole organs make it complete or to survive

I just wanna say in simple words that India is my home and I respect all its culture equally not highlighting any ONE. And I am Indian not only the northern one
      Only Indian 😌
And we all are together are one ...not separate identities

Best topic chosen., about art & culture which are the back bones of India. The information told by an American of this video, that Baratha Natyam(dance) is named after Baratha muni(sage) is still not known by many of the Baratha Nadu India.
    Lots of clapping to him.
Baratha muni is a descendant of the
Dynasty. King Baratha is the step son of the greatest ruler Dasaratha father
    of Rama(hero of Ramayana).
Mandavi., cousin of Seetha( Rama's wife) was attracted by the talents of Baratha's art of dance & music loved and married Baratha.(once upon a time love story passed on from our ancestors)., would also had been published throughout the generations on stages as music/dance/acting.
The fact that King Baratha is Tamil king has been proved by this video itself as the presenter has mentioned that Baratha Natyam is danced by Tamil Nadu.,kuchchupidi by Andra, Kathakali by Kerala..so on.
The basic of all steps are Brathnatiam steps.,which by ourselves can find out.
India is another name denoting the glory of Indus valley civilization.
