- From 2001, filmed a few weeks before the show closed at Disneyland. This was filmed in both theaters, multiple times, then edited together as one complete show.
Special thanks to Paul Barrie from DoneInTheDark.com for providing the soundtrack at a time when it was not readily available from Disney; and to Bob Allen and Barbara Guzman for their understanding and help in filming.
This is the best recording of this show that I have seen. Thank you for sharing.

I try to tell people that the version of "Ghost Riders In The Sky" from this production is one of the best ever, but nobody believes me.

Always loved that they gave Ernest an off-stage line in the finale (I'm gonna take a nap now)! Since he and Trixie never get to be a part of any show finale, it's nice they acknowledged that he's backstage.

@@Sargon2008 Nope, Wendell says “say cheese” at the end, and then the voice saying “I’m gonna take a nap now” is Ernest’s VA. Two different voices and two different voice actors. The scripts online also confirm it’s Ernest at the end.

This is gorgeous! It has the best footage of Teddi Barra I’ve ever seen! The different views are awesome, and just the whole thing overall is just amazing!
I really miss the Country Bears at Disneyland. It's great Big Al, Liverlips, Wendell, and Shaker all came out of hibernation recently, but I wish they would talk Henry and the others out of hibernation and do a revival of the Country Bear Jamboree at Disneyland.

When I was a kid this was magical to me. This is what kids need more of.
Yeah, not Tiana's Sleepy Logride. Keith David rode it and was NOT impressed.
I can't believe this has been up for 3 years and I'm just NOW coming across it. It's very evident that you put a lot of effort to archive the show and I loved the close up shots that guests wouldn't have normally seen. As someone who grew up with show, and was completely devastated when I found it closed forever, I thank you for making this. I wish they could have moved it to a smaller building with one theater, like WDW's. Anyway, this is the best recording on RUclips, it's surprising it's not first in the results.
By the way, someone in charge at Disneyland is a Country Bears fan. They repainted the Teddi Barra Swinging Arcade sign and trimming the ivy around it. They had Bears concept art on construction walls and they've just added a new restroom sign with the skunk. Admittedly it's not much, but surprising for a show 2000's management thought no one would miss

Fun fact, delores the octopus is actually in the new guardians of the galaxy ride. You can find her when you are on your way to the gantry lift. To the left of her is the old yeti from the matterhorn bobsled ride.

This was always a favorite attraction of mine too. I enjoyed all three seasonal shows, but Vacation Hoedown is the best version IMHO.

The songs in this one are like WAY better than the show they play at Disney World. Over there it’s a snoozer. Never understood why they got rid of it at Disneyland and not there.
The show at Disneyworld is the original show that played both at Disneyland and WDW. Disneyland would eventually swap in the summer show, and a Christmas show. Then they just stopped running the original. As far as I know, WDW rarely if ever changed from the original one. Thanks for watching!
It was a lot more popular at WDW compared to DL and that’s why it’s a getting a revamp as I type.

When I was really young (about 4) my grandma took me to Disney world. I remember being so scared of country bear jamboree that I’d cry and hide behind my grandma. Good memories I think!

Craig. Just seen this. well done. It seems you've spent some time getting the original sound. then syncing your video clips to the soundtrack. Or as that the sound of the best camera mic in the world. Nice to see someone who realises sound is as important as good filming.
Thank you Peter. I started with camera audio, and even tried a separate audio only recording. With the track separation in the theater, it just wasn't giving the best mix. I managed to find someone willing to give me a copy of the soundtrack, which was the key. (Disney re-released the soundtrack shortly afterwards)

disney keeps replacing "group experience" attractions with long queues and short rides on slow loading/unloading vehicles. the only ones left at disneyland are the enchanted tiki room and great moments with mr. lincoln. i bet if those weren't attractions personally installed by walt they would remove them too. we need more long form attractions,especially in the summer when it would be nice to relax in an air conditioned theater for 15-20 minutes and watch a show.
I agree with you. Unfortunately Disneyland isn't the only place this is happening. Group experiences are disappearing in many places - and it isn't good for society.

Thought the sound was too good to be true. Did something similar with syncing the camera sound to the cd version of the music used for the fireworks at epcot.(Reflections of Earth) Its a lot of work for you especially with different camera shoots . Not many watchers will appreciate what you did. So many wobbly camera users. bad sound , badly framed, heads in the way.
. I saw the show May 2016. filmed some pieces and did more of a compilation edit. But my sound was poor from the mic on my small HD camera. Thanks for writing back.

They have, several times. The A Musical History of Disneyland, 50th Anniversary CD set had the original show and the Vacation Hoedown show. There is also a CD release of the original show sountrack (ST 3994) that I found at Disneyland

Not only the fact that the show at Disneyland got removed in 2001, the one at Magic Kingdom was recently closed and will be replaced by the "Country Bear Musical Jamboree"

Yes, "Thank God I'm A Country Boy" is a John Denver song. Henry starts the song here. Henry is voiced by Peter Renaday (Renoudet), an actor on many Disney projects and films in the 60's and 70's. He continued to do voice over work until 2019.
My only disappointment is that Tenneessee Bear didn't get to play his Musical Teddy at the end of one of the musical numbers.

I’m actually really upset the iger organisation has been allowed to touch these. They should be a listed as a historic piece that can’t be fucked with. You know exactly what’s going to happen don’t you, they’re going to take all the original character and charm out of the attraction, put all the money into replacing the frames with electronic ones and not even bother about hiring the original actors (where they can) because they frankly don’t care about quality or continuity anymore. RIP country bear jamboree, I hope that 2 shower bob gets a backlash he rightfully deserves for destroying multiple Disney classic attractions. He will forever be remembered as the face of Disneys demise. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to book some TDL tickets before he finds a way to fuck with that too
