- Paper Girls is an upcoming science fiction drama streaming television series based on the comic book series of the same name written by Brian K. Vaughan and illustrated by Cliff Chiang. The series is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 29, 2022.
In this San Diego Comic Con interview, series stars Riley Lai Nelet (Erin Tieng) and Fina Strazza (KJ Brandman) speak about their characters, bilingual dialogue, representing The Other, and more!

They are so mature wtf I was NOT this well spoken and nuanced when I was 13/15
My mandarin isn't very good but I think I understood most of it. Did the mom say something like, "Your dad would be proud?"

I really enjoyed Season One. Hopefully, there will be a Season Two. After being a huge fan of Stranger Things, I did not think I could love a show just as much, but I really am enjoying this one. Great acting as well as the storyline. I do have to point one thing out, though. Being an 80's kid myself, I have to say the '80s were the best era ever. Times were great, not bad. Anyone living in that time can vouch for me. I don't think a lot of kids of today get it. No matter how much research you do, you will NEVER understand how AMAZING the 80's era was. 👍 Oh. One more thing. It wasn't the fact that people were "homophobic"; it was the fact that in the 1980's people were not focused on what their sexual preference was. It was about invention, fun, music, art and more. Go back in a time machine, then you will get what I am saying.
Did you you completely forget about the AIDS crisis that was raging in the 80s? The fact that people called it the “gay plague” during that time? The fact that gay men were losing their lives left and right, without much help from the public? So ironic that you didn’t think homophobia was prevalent during that time period.
