Hey guys, La Mer is NOT cruelty-free, so despite my review today, I will not be supporting and buying La Mer products. Thanks to Laura for pointing that out.
Also check out this video from Marlena Stell for some interesting details on the brand. I loved the products but the pricetag and non cruelty-free status gives me pause. I love it. I really want it. Within a few days a scar/discoloration was significantly faded. It feels so rich and firming. I saw a big difference. The face wash was wonderful, too! Will I buy them? Yes. Maybe not the large 'economy' size but the smaller more manageably priced cream.
Wow that is fantastic! I need to target my spots a little more with it and see if it helps.
I am giving my best friend the whole bag. I'm too impulsive and will somehow find a way to justify bc it is super hard for me to fall in love and then not find a way to buy it! Whereas she is much better at that sort of thing and can just enjoy it while it is there.

Oh thank you, yay! I definitely have noticed a difference in my skin and lots of things since going vegan. It was primarily for health reasons but our skin does really show our health from within.
I could see just getting rid of the temptation. 😂
14:00 if you have s Costco membership, they sell a 3.4 oz for $349. Hugely expensive still but they also have the sk-ii 11 oz for way less than anywhere else.
Wow! My parents have one so I have them get me stuff sometimes. Oh I love those sk11 masks too! 👏

I love it and you can get an half oz for $100 and it lasts a long time.
Yes I definitely think it lasts longer than your typical moisturizer:)
Marlena Stell did a post about this product and informed us that it was basically scented Vaseline. In fact, the cream has low quality products and La Mer should be ashamed of charging that much for petroleum jelly with some seaweed juice.
Wow that’s eye opening! I will go look for that video, thank you. So you’re saying I can just grab some Vaseline, mix a little of my seaweed and slather it all on my face for $5 or so, rather than $3k for the same results? 😂
It smells very nice and is not heavy. Vaseline it is not.
I got the Macys box as well and it did feel nice on my face but sadly not for me it made my face break out badly and I get cystic acne so it’s a no for me… but it did feel nice on my hands for the remaining days to use up the sample.. helped my cuticles for sure!

I'm sad Macy's messed up and I didn't get it. I got one of those $135 MZ Skin's gold mask. I could definitely feel the lifted and tightened skin so I believe high priced skincare works temporarily. For 3k I would want them gone!🤪 lighting makes a huge difference especially outdoor lighting depending on the time and clouds. So I believe you! 🥰
True they better make me look 20 again for $3k! 😂

I love their foaming cream face wash. Some of their products are overpriced for what you get, but some are really good. Their eye balm/ cream in the dark green jar is really good 👍 i splurged & bought their $120 foundation & powder. Their foundation made my dry skin feel dryer by the end of the day. The setting powder was nice, but the jar was huge & halfway through it i noticed it was making my skin itch. The treatment lotion made my face feel sticky. Their lip balm is nice but its an overpriced dupe for the EOS one in the little ball that is mint colored. I used to work in a factory that made fireplaces & i was a welder. That in combination with the extreme cold in the Iowa winter made my face the driest its ever felt. I had a small jar of the moisturizing cream from a Space Nk Advent calendar & it helped my skin so much. Its super heavily fragranced & i thought my skin would rebel. It made my skin feel so moisturized & soft. A sales lady for La Mer told me to always take a little bit out of the jar with a qtip or the Spatula it comes with (big jar) & warm it up between your fingers for a minute. It helps warm up the ingredients & prevents you from using too much. Before i complained to her that it made my face feel greasy & she told me i was applying it wrong & it made all the difference. My favorite product i would get if i was rich is the moisturizing soft lotion in the pump, because of the consistency & the way it made my skin so soft & glowing & you dont have to worry about contamination (pump) & no warming up between fingers like the cream ❤
Oh nice!! I will save these tips! That’s great to know! Thanks for sharing what the La Mer rep recommended. I do see what you mean about the greasy feeling a little bit, but overall I felt it was amazing on my skin.
I also loved the La Mer, but the price tag just wasn't sustainable over time for me. If I get rich, it will be on my list 😂

I was absolutely obsessed with the products but definitely would not pay the retail for this.
Yea I think it would have to be a major sale or deals in beauty boxes like this to grab it again lol

I didn't get the last 2 months despite calling them many times. They say that they don't know about it. I think that they don't care about it...
its not worth it girl, other moisturizers do the same thing for less k beauty products do better formulas with better results you just have to find the one you like. surf olive young or yes style web sites for skin care lol i just dont want you to think this spendy creme is the only one

My CPA husband will thank you. 😂 I definitely think there are definitely some other skincare options that deliver great results for less. I just wanted to share that I do think this one delivers… unfortunately… I wanted to hate it. 🤪😂
@ well redirect the dislike to them over charging for a creme that is no better than others lol like they are entitled to peoples money lol i dunno im trying here lol i just can justify that amount of money for anything other than a good used car lol
Agreed. Aestura Autobarrier saved my skin last winter and it’s a fraction of the price. I got the La Mer lip plumper in a calendar and it’s nice but Tarte’s plumping lip balms are better and come in shades.
The only moisturizer that I would splurge on would be the Skin Rocks The Moisturizer. It actually works but Aestura does a similar job and it’s 1/3 the cost.

NOPE don't fall for this fancy product with a high dollar attract-the-rich-pearl grabbing tofu eating designer name. Studies have shown NOTHING is permanent you are only feeling temporary effects we will all age sooner or later.
Ha ha I mean you’re right that there is only so much skincare is going to do. I have never done bot0x or fillers, but I think that’s what the celebs do that make us believe that’s what aging is supposed to look like naturally. However there are some things you can do in skincare to prevent premature aging. Sun damage and dryness are the two biggest enemies to our skin. They will age us faster than anything, so I definitely believe in effective hydrating and firming moisturizers to counteract that as much as possible.
Okay I’m doing to be honest… this is the most over rated and overpriced brand ever 😭😭😭🤪 I have only tried two things and was like this is it???????
Ha ha it may be the most expensive skincare that I know of? 🤔 There are definitely other skincare brands that deliver equally great results for less but I still loved it… 🤭😂
La Mer tests on animals though.
For some reason I heard they were cruelty-free but when I saw your comment, I ran it through Cruelty-Free Kitty and you’re correct! They do indeed test on animals. Thank you for saving my wallet. 😂 I’m going to pin a comment about it.
@ I downloaded the apps that you had mentioned in a previous video. The brands that test on animals shocked me.
