Really refreshing interview. He didn`t seem like he was selling anything, just telling you what he really thinks about superhero themed media, his job and why he liked this paticular story and wanted to be part of it. No thick layers of bullshit to promote an image of himself or the movie. I like it!
I completely agree, but also, I think it's so easy for him to be honest about the movie and the superhero genre because it actually is a good movie. I'm very ecited to go watch it :)
Intelligent and thoughtful person. Must be one reason he is such a great actor. I totally get why he accepted this role although he is not into superheros. I'm neither, but enjoyed this movie twice. And yes, he is way above average.
i even predict he will produce, write, direct movie in the future because of his intelligence and how he's dare to take challanges (have you watch his funny way of hosting snl and acting as horrible congressman lol so different as Steve Trevor)
wow, okay I'm captivated by Kjersti's question style... once again you get another actor to open up rather than trying hard to plow through generic questions about the move they just worked in... well done...
Now I can understand why Chris Pine was chosen as Steve Trevor for Wonder Woman. Steve was an honest, kind, and determined man who doesn't judge a person by their gender but tried to see what kind of person he/she is through his/her faith and what they can do. I can see why Chris is the ideal actor from this interview. His role doesn't have any superpowers, a.k.a. we can be like them in real life. Steve became a hero because of his faith and bravery. Steve is a hero who we actually can be, and this is what captured Chris's heart the most, I assume.
does superhero have a hero? Diana does and his name is Steve. To be Wonder Woman's hero (and soulmate) would be a role of a lifetime. Solid pick by Chris
i came to theatre watch WW for the heroine in the first place but in the end Steve become my fav character because of how great Chris Pine portraying Steve
I love how Steve is not just a "damsel in distress" in the movie but courageous and determined, and has strong belief how the world can be actually beautiful. This is what distinguish him from Lois Lane, Pepper Potts and so on; not just a love interest of hero but an amazing man, I mean an amazing "above average" man, haha....
+Sae Matsunaga i disagree with steve being "damsel in distress" because there were some scenes showed Steve protect her from danger when she's not aware of danger but i guess people often to remember more how bada** Wonder Woman, Steve has some great action scenes too.
well spoken and articulate. Chris perfectly describes what differentiates Wonder Woman from the genre......the element of agape....that selfless, unconditional love
Great interview, I can see him producing, writing, or directing in the future, thanks again for your excellent work. Always enjoy watching your interviews.
He's great wow - very insightful interview. Thank you so much Kersti!! I've got to ask, was he wearing shoes this time? I remember for a few of the Star Trek Beyond interviews he wasn't wearing any hahahahaha
1:31 What is that word? Comments think it's "anathema"? I am not so sure. Anyone think it's another word or can clarify? Dictionary:"1. someone or something intensely disliked or loathed -usually used as a predicate nominative" (Merriam-Webster.com). Mainly because the Wonder Woman film *does not loath* the other super hero films but more shines a light on the realities of war. By taking on their more mature perspective, it makes the film more grounded and provides a contrast to the other film. My guess he was trying to communicate this. I could be wrong. For those of you who haven't watch the film, it focuses on the horrors or war rather than trivializing it. Also, from the film you get a sense, that Wonder Woman, though a pivotal part and an inspiration for her team couldn't have done it alone. Which I felt was more realistic, because this one person can change the world fantasy is just ridiculous and is sort of isolationist self centered thinking. Sort of self delusional childish hero worship, although that kind of fantasy, where a good person saves the world, is an idea you wish you can believe in.
La meg dele mitt perspektiv ang "perfekt" ... !!! :D
Why are we so facinated by "Superhero" characters? There has been a falling off in a belief in God,a moral decline in this country as a result of this! Without God to inspire us,we've regressed back to our "Superhero" comic book days! "Superhero" comics is our connection to the "supernatural",God 101 in other words! If we can believe,we can be "Inspired!

One of the best interviews I've seen. Instead of being intimidated by his candor you saw it as a gift and used it to go deeper.
Thank you so much for saying that. What a great compliment.
"The fuck if I know"
This man keeps it real
lmao and he won't get in trouble for saying that, which is nice
姚澜 lol

Thank you! So happy you appreciate my style. I really try to come up with questions that will provoke some deeper thoughts from the actor.

well spoken and articulate.

Chris is that rare combination of masculinity and cuteness, he is also very talented not just a pretty face.
Chris Pine is perfect. He just doesn't know it.
Oh wow, you get the best interviews girl, thank you, great job!
Great interview, I can see him producing, writing, or directing in the future, thanks again for your excellent work.

Perfect I don’t think he’s above perfect
When you're in the presence of fit celebrities like Chris Pine how do you stop yourself from having an orgasam? If I was there I'd faint!
blackham7 I know right.
I swear I'm trying to look it up with Google he says the word "enefima" at around 1:30 what does that mean? I know I'm not spelling it right.
John Cazale was brilliant as Freddo in the Godfather.
Is Chris anxious? he plays with something with his hand non stop
1:31 dafuq is that word he used ?
He is some wise intelligent guy I also was also wondering about the word
ok i like when he said 'biblical' lol.. like he was reading bible

I had no idea he's such a jerk
How is he a jerk? Because he's not into comics? He's just being honest, and he thinks different from other cookie cutter leading men.
I did nto know that people who are not into comics have to be jerks? You are completely out of your min.
I just didn't find Wonder Woman (movie) to be very good. I was so disgusted. Pine was fine but I seriously felt let down by Gadot.
I saw him gaslighting Gal Gadot every other sentence. Really horrible and insecure person that has to have the lime light. PremaDonna! Yuck
