    Hi! Thanks for the good info. I planted these this year and I've got tons of them coming in, but wasn't sure how to tell if they were ready to harvest - plus that was just a really helpful video - I love that your melon plants look a lot like mine, like, yep, the leaves have weirdnessess on them, but the plant is super healthy!

    Thank you. I just gathered my first successful Kajari. I grew it on a cattle panel trellis, but used old citrus mesh bags tied onto the trellis, so they wouldn't be able to drop to the ground. Blessings...daisy

    This is my first year of growing kajari melons. I did plant mine by a trellis and found one that had fallen off this morning. It is not ripe. I will keep it and hope that it ripens! I am going to go out there now and secure my melons to the trellis to prevent them from falling off again!

    When ours look like that they feel very soft. Mushy almost. Not like a cantelope or something. Still trying to figure out when to pick them.

    What is their shelf life? In the refrigerator or out? I'm assuming uncut is better

      @@brianramsey3824 I’m honestly not sure. I eat them so fast, so haven’t been able to observe how long they last.

    • @SGethersSeeds
      @SGethersSeeds  3 года назад +2

      They’ll be ready before you know it! The growth after pollination will seem slow, then suddenly the colors will start changing. Takes probably 30-45 super long days lol.

      @@SGethersSeeds thank you, good to know lol. I keep going out there like “grow little ones” like 2 times a day 😂. Probably doesn’t help that they’re the first melons to appear in my garden so they get all of my attention.
