This is the video I needed! Real-life info! I have some seeds I am growing this year and was trying to get a scope of plant size, to trellis or not, harvest…so thank you!!
Hi! Thanks for the good info. I planted these this year and I've got tons of them coming in, but wasn't sure how to tell if they were ready to harvest - plus that was just a really helpful video - I love that your melon plants look a lot like mine, like, yep, the leaves have weirdnessess on them, but the plant is super healthy!
Thank you. I just gathered my first successful Kajari. I grew it on a cattle panel trellis, but used old citrus mesh bags tied onto the trellis, so they wouldn't be able to drop to the ground. Blessings...daisy
This is my first year of growing kajari melons. I did plant mine by a trellis and found one that had fallen off this morning. It is not ripe. I will keep it and hope that it ripens! I am going to go out there now and secure my melons to the trellis to prevent them from falling off again!
They’ll be ready before you know it! The growth after pollination will seem slow, then suddenly the colors will start changing. Takes probably 30-45 super long days lol.
@@SGethersSeeds thank you, good to know lol. I keep going out there like “grow little ones” like 2 times a day 😂. Probably doesn’t help that they’re the first melons to appear in my garden so they get all of my attention.
Thank you thank you. Was looking for harvesting info. It's my first year.. 😀
This is Awesome!!! Growing them now, can't wait to taste it. It's really cool how you cut it too! Thanks for the video 🙂
Thank you for sharing. I just got a seed pack of the Kajari melon. I can't wait to grow them.
Thank you for sharing this. I have 6 on the vine I am so impatiently waiting for ❤️
Nice video , cool RUclips acrobatics with your feet.

Great trick, glad to hear you had a successful harvest!
Thank you for inspiring me to try to grow melons! I did a few of the tricks you showed and they blew up
I’m excited to know your melons are doing well!
Peace brother! New subscriber! I found your channel looking for information on Kajari melons! Looking forward to enjoying your content!
They are good
All 4 of my watermelons died, only melon that survived was my honey dew oh well hopefully next year. That kajari melon looks great!
Thank you! My seeds are in the mail. I hope its not too late in the season for me in Ontario Canada.
It produces its 1st fruit in about 80 days, if that helps!
@@SGethersSeeds works for me enough to give it a go lol thank you

Very cool, they remind me of a fruit from like Egypt
Hi. DevaJones03 sent me. Thank you for your thoroughness
She’s really helpful in more ways than one!Thank you, I appreciate the feedback.
I have Kajari melon plants in our garden and flowering! I don’t see female flowers yet but they will come!
When ours look like that they feel very soft. Mushy almost. Not like a cantelope or something. Still trying to figure out when to pick them.
What is their shelf life? In the refrigerator or out? I'm assuming uncut is better
@@brianramsey3824 I’m honestly not sure. I eat them so fast, so haven’t been able to observe how long they last.
I have a pack setting in front of me ready to plant. Did you plant yours in a container? 👍😀🌱🌻🌼😍🌷
In bottomless 6” containers.
Mine are that size but been green for awhile 😊😊
They’ll be ripening real soon, faster than you think!
I've counted 6 or 7 baby kajari melons on my 2 vines so far and I'm very impatiently waiting for them to grow lol

Welcome
Will it wrippen more off vine
I’m not sure. Never tried to ripen a melon off the vine before.
Is the taste similar to a Tigger Melon
I highly doubt it. I haven’t tried the tigger melon yet though.
Hey, do you sell kajari melon seed?
I will soon, but baker creek has it available now.
Mine tastiest like a cucumber
It’s super sweet when harvested at the correct stage shown in the video.
