I’ve been using Linux for 14 years and void Linux for 2 years now. It stopped my distro hopping. It is hands down the best, fastest, easiest to configure distro out there. It installs so lightweight and I can make it what I want without much work. I am currently writing a script to turn void into a pentesting distro.

Great video as always, clear and simple. I have been using Void for 3 months and I can say that it is very simple, fast and solid, I have not had any problem with XFCE4. Before using it I was using Arch Linux which is my other favorite. Thanks for bringing this good distro to the channel.

Great distro. FIY you can replace xpbs with vpm and then type on terminal vpm to see what it does. For example: sudo xbps-install equals with sudo vpm i. Also void linux comes with or without musl libc. There are official and unofficial isos and of course three ways to install Void. Void installer, voidvault and through project trident installer.

Incredibly clear and complete, as always. Thanks a lot. I am an inexperienced user (although always fascinated by the world) of Linux, but with the lightness and speed of Void I was immediately at ease. I look forward to your next impressions, after a more profound use of the distro. It would be great if, instead of i3, you could build a complete Void system with HerbstluftWM. In any case, thank you very much.

Also, to install packages like discord we have to use xbps-src and build it and that takes a lot of time which force people to use snapd and flatpak and I don't even know if snapd works on runit or not.

Maybe one should see that the big Linux distros followed Arch for a reason systemd is ran in the biggest servers, and python is how hackers exploit systems systemd elimnates that need to do scheduals ect ect. And i hear so often about background services if you dont like a service running turn it off it is that simple systemctl is very simple to learn how to use, and if people take as much time to learning as they do complaining they would be way ahead and respect others that try new ways just because and not bad mouth others. Often the brother ermmono avoids questions backbiting others because it is bad charictor and unbecoming of grown men! Many of us that watch him know linux just as much we enjoy listening to him because he is so humble try being this also.

Hi, thanks for sharing this. I just believe we can have conversations as adults and there is no need to trash someone or something. We all have a choice to do and use what we like. If one doesn't like something, just don't use it, but there is no need to patronize others. I can share my opinion about something, but it remains mine and I believe healthy discussions are what we need in order to learn from each others.

Im pushing for the wiki to clearly state a chart for local-gen in a chart on the wiki as im German/bagsamoro and so many of my fathers people speak over 200 language and it becomes frustrating because they don't know Tagalog no more than forgners hahaha

Frankly im tired of 99 % of cry babies against systemd most of the people crying about it don't have a clue to being an admin and second arch was never design to be a server ! Move on leave Arch alone and people that develope for it. Arch makes it so the very poor or very rich have a computer that they have control of and no other distro had the aur!
