The 300 is one of only four plier-based multi tools that I own, and IMO it's a great one. I mostly carry it in the cold weather months, because the size of it makes it easy to use with gloves on. I've carried and used that tool so much that you can fling it open like a balisong.😆Thanks for your thoughts on it, buddy! Have a great weekend!

Good video. Informative. Thanks for your perspectives and opinions. I have many leatherman tools. I keep going back to the rebar and the ST300. Just the build is simple and effective. The fact that it doesn’t have outside accessible doesn’t bother me. I’m not John wick lol. I can take an extra second or 2 to get what I need. Just my opinion though!
Also, a 3D Philips is definitely my preference. Not a fan of the bit exchanger. I would be on board with the bit exchanger if they started doing 1/4” bits. Not the proprietary. I would be fine with less implements if they worked the 1/4” bit exchanger into the tool.

I have the original Supertool, not the 300.My Papi passed away and I found it going through his stuff. It is new and never used. I think the dedicated Phillips driver and flat head drivers are superior and work like a charm.
I just bought a used Letherman Surge yesterday at a flea market for $10.00. I'm not so crazy about the bit holder, or included bit at all. It has a broken can opener which I will have replaced
.I've been watching many videos on Letherman multi tools and the best option I've decided on getting is the Letherman Supertool 300, but NOT the 300m series, due to it having the bit changing option instead of dedicated drivers.
Thanx ffor the video my Bladed Brother 👍 ⚔️ ✝️ 🇺🇲

This is a greatest video about multitools. I am planning to get one for myself but feel stucked between 300 and wave+. Supertool has really good pliers but no seezers, also longer blades are there. Wave seems more weak.

I’m a millwright and I have one on my person everyday I have the bit adapter with extra bits since I run into a lot of different fasteners. I’ll sometimes have the wave on me, depends on the day. I leave the Swiss tool at home…she’s to pretty to work. Fun fact the leatherman bit adapter for the supertool works better on the gerber mp600 then it does on the supertool. Yeah I’m a multitool nerd I guess. Thanks Johnny! Have a great day.

Hi Johnny, I have a couple of multi tools. Bought the Leatherman Blast 13 years ago, came with a bonus Micra. It still goes on my belt on workdays. Often borrowed by my co-workers. Had the SOG for many years before that. Don't know the model, has the side pivoting pliers (there wernt many choices back when I bought it).
I watched just cause I like your channel.

    Great video Johnny.
I have the Surge and a Skeletool. I recently gave my old and much beloved Wave to a young lad who lost his new Wave. No regrets there at all, but I'd almost trade that Wave back for the newer, beefier Surge... Also, the surge is blacked out, and I much prefer the regular stainless steel finish. I find the blackout seems to make opening and using the tool 'slower' - almost as if the black stuff adds drag... ???

Yes stainless is by far better preforming. Less drag.

I have one of the original leatherman. Clunky by today's standards, not much use but does ride around in my gear or vehicle just in case. These modern Leatherman tools are intriguing. I was leaning toward the P4 or the Wave+. This 300 looks pretty good too.

Be careful about saying “Original Music” as you play a harmonica cover of Judas Priest’s “Breaking the Law”.
