you can map the midi CC controls on the OT to do stuff to the BB sounds, & also use the OT's midi tracks to sequence synth sounds from the BB. I'm beginning to think of the BB as a sound engine, with the added bonus of some internal sequencing; between the two of them it's possible to make a really evolving set without stopping to reload. on the BB, I find that reloading individual samples/multisample sets was possible while the machine is running, so once I've got a basic template set up on it ("I'm going to want these sounds, here here & here" sort of thing, with some empty pads for live sampling) I can change the samples under each pad without having to stop & load a whole preset. I have three BBs alongside the OT & some other stuff... 🙂

This is exactly what I’m talking about!!
I expanded on this idea in my other vid on this pair

Loving this! I also use this combo for live performances. More videos on this amazing duo please :) Very inspiring on how you use it!

Great video! Is the OT the master midi clock to the BB? If so, how is the midi timing? Do you notice drifting?

      Thanks!
In my experience I have not had any noticeable drifting although I know some have mentioned issues.
Now I also use an E-rm Multiclock for master clock and everything is as tight as you ever want it.

So this basically frees up four OT tracks in a live fashion, as you are able to loop them straight back into the mix onto one OT track. Good to see you can route the audio like this, nice work.
Would this only really be useful if you plan to now add live trigs onto the now free 4 tracks? Since if you are not doing it live, you could just bounce down your tracks in other ways and send to the BB pads to be used later. The cue route looks like a good idea live or not though. I'm new to music making, so just wondering if I'm getting the right idea.

You actually don’t need to use up a track to bring the OT unless you want to add more effect from the OT.

You could also add 8 more tracks in theory since you could trigger all 8 from the MIDI side of the OT

      Great questions!

@@_justin_joe Which do you think is better for chopping samples out of OT and BB? Using an OT to chop here and it works really nice I think.
