Lovely video! It really helped me to get an idea how these 9m2 CROUS rooms look like. Thank you so much!
I liked your video and thought I should explore more of your channel only to find you have just one video :( I would encourage you to do more informative videos as such, that would be very helpful for students. Thanks again for this video! Best wishes, Salut!
Thanks for your encouragement. I really appreciate :)
Very informative friend❤️🙏
Hi there! Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed the video
Thank you so much for this video. Very informative.
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching!
merci pour la vidéooo !! you showed everything, very useful, thanks
You’re welcome 😉
Wawww...... nicely explained!!....and you shown everything completely..... respect from my side .....😍😍
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching :)
@@RebeccaEkwuruke I am also an international student studying in france.....where are you living and what rent you are paying for your room ?
@@AnkitKumar-ub3zy This appartment is Cité la Bourgeonnière in Nantes. The rent is €254,80 monthly.
Thanks for this amazing share dear. Jean Medecin residence in Nice should come and see what a 9m2 room should look like. Their non renovated building is a disaster. The engineers should be locked up.
I loved the moveable bed😍. It was quite funny what you said about the bathroom and fat people 😂, I can imagine.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks a lot for watching 😊.
@@RebeccaEkwuruke Thank you for sharing.
@@hectoro.a.2178 You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for this video! I'm moving into a similarly sized CROUS, and this helped me get an idea of what to expect.
I wanted to know a few things about the kitchen. How many people share the Cuisine area? Does it usually get crowded?
And do you have a freezer in the fridge?
Thanks again 😊
Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
The kitchen is not usually crowded because there are so many kitchens in the building and not everyone cooks at the same time. The kind of fridges vary. For mine, the whole fridge could either be a fridge or a freezer at a time so I often have to regulate the temperature.
Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for your video!
You're welcome. Thanks for watching :)
Thx Rebecca😊
You're welcome. Thanks for watching 😊
Niiiice i really like it ❤️ it's in which city please ? Continue !
I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Thanks for watching. This residence is in Nantes. Its Cité la Bourgeonnière in Nantes.
Thank you for the video.
I want to ask about access of drinking water in the student apartment. How much of light passes in the room during day time and can we open a window or is it a fixed window ?
Hi there! Thanks for watching. Water from the tap is drinkable. So generally people drink tap water. Else, you could buy a pack of bottled water from the stores. They are cheap by the way 😉. For the window, lots of light comes into the room. You just have to open the shutters. You can also open the windows for air to circulate in the room. I hope I answered your questions.
How much is the subsidy?
Bonjour est ce à Belfort residence Duvillard ? merci beaucoup car mon fils va faire son entrée
Is it village 5 ?
Hey sis! Thank you for the video.
I’d be moving to france from Nigeria in about a week, I’m a little confused on necessary things to bring. Could you please suggest some things ?
Thank you !
Hi there! Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. What you can bring depends on what you consider a priority.
Personally, I had very little space for hardcopy books. I don't think it's necessary to bring a lot of books considering that you can get those books online as well as in your school's library.
If you don't mind eating French dishes and exploring other foods, then you can bring less of the local food items from your country. Else, bring more of your local food stuffs. There are lots of African store in France where you could get Aftican food items.
Bring warm clothes and sneakers. Though these clothing items are sold in France, however, they are relatively cheaper in African countries.
I hope I was able to help. All the best.
@@RebeccaEkwuruke Hey!! It's me, with a different account but yeah still me, I finally am in France, I came in September. RUclips recommended this to me and i though to say hi again! Thank you and sending you so much love and light! Bye!
Thanks for the video, alot of intel even in the comments :) ! which housing complex of CROUS was this ? Which arrondissement ?
Hi, thanks for watching. This is Crous Bourgeonnière at Nantes
Hi! I’m an international student so is there anything that comes with the room like bedding or pots and pans, or do I need to buy that when I get to France?
Hi, the room is furnished. You only need to get your pots and kitchen utensils. Thanks for watching.
Do you go to a public university, how much are the tuition fees for public universities int students
CROUSed despite the sanitary measures and the ent ahi
Please upload videos related food, simcard and transportation etc. costs so, that everyone who were looking to study abroad may benefit.
I appreciate your efforts.
Thanking you again..🙏🌷❤️
Hi there! Nice idea, but here are some tips. The cost of transport varies from city to city. So the video I make for my city might not be applicable to your city. But whatever the case, it is highly subsided for young people especially below the age of 26, and in some cities it is subsided for students, or even made completely free. Your school will most likely give you the necessary orientation you need to get acquainted to your city, so try not to miss that. Sim cards are not expensive. With €10 monthly, you can get a good deal. Feeding is not expensive too, as long as you are open to eating French cuisine. I wish you all the best.
Really enjoy your video!
Did you apply for this room or CROUS just assigned to you?
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, I applied for the residence. It wasn't assigned to me. I applied through this website www.messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr/envole/
What is the rent price ?
Hi, thanks for watching. The rent cost €254,80 monthly
@@RebeccaEkwuruke wow amazing 👍 Thanks for your quick reply 👍
Is there a fridge?
Yes. There’s a fridge
you are at UGA in Grenoble no?
Hi Kamilia, thanks for watching! I’m not at UGA in Grenoble :)
Hello, I'm gonna make a reservation for the same residence in Nantes !
Did you take an appointment to chose your own room? Or do they assign them randomly and you just hope your room will be good?
I was assigned a room randomly. All the rooms are usually good. If there is anything wrong with the room assigned to you, you can complain and the room will be changed. I hope I was able to answer your question and thanks for watching
Do you live in Nantes? La Bourgioniere? I used to live there!
Hi, I used to live at la Bourgeonnière in Nantes. Thanks for watching :)
Hey!
So I've started my procedure to apply and then they asked me to pay 100€, do I paid it, then they asked for another 270€. Do you know if they give you back that money after you leave?
The first 100€ are for the reservation of the room (to make sure you really want it) and the 270€ are maybe for the guarantee? The guarantee is usually equal to 1-month rent. Like if you break something they will use it to restore the room when you leave. But, if you don't break or damage anything they will give it back to you one month after your departure. Don't know if this is clear enough but do not hesitate to ask more question :)
Hi, when did you find this appartment ? In july or august ? And did it take time?
Hi, I found it in February and no it didn't take time because there were a lot of empty rooms. Many students moved to other locations for the internship that is why it was easy. Thanks for watching :).
Thank you 👀😝😝
Absolutely love it!. Are there much larger CROUS apartments available? And how much do you reckon they cost? I'll be moving to Nancy this fall :-)
Yeah, there are other sizes of Crous appartment. The 9m2 is the smallest I have seen so far. There is the 15m2, 18m2, 22m2 and other bigger sized appartment. The cost for the 18m2 is about €350 monthly without the CAF. But with the CAF, it is subsidied.
I'm glad you loved the video & thanks for watching.
@@RebeccaEkwuruke Tres bien! Merci.
@@RebeccaEkwuruke One more question, Rebecca. By how much does CAF subsidize the rent? and is it the same for student in France?
@@JNathan4444 The amount subsided varies from one person to another. Caf used different factors to determine how much you get.
Rebecca Ekwuruke Thanks a lot.
Is this in Paris or where?
nantes
@@youseebiggirl9694 Yes, It’s in Nantes. Cité la Bourgeonnière to be precise
Is it possible to get it for L1 international student?
As long as you are a student in France, you can apply for the Crous residence. Though you for you to get it depends on the availability of spaces.
can i apply for crous accommodation before going there in October 2020?
There is usually a deadline for applying. If the deadline is not yet over, then you can apply. Thanks for watching :).
Im still at my home country and i dont have a guarantor. What else can i do?
@@KazumiNikkiTV You could use visale as your guarantor. Visale is the guarantor used by students who wish to stay in a Crous residence and visale is free.
@@RebeccaEkwuruke oh i saw that before. I just ignored it. Let me take a look at it further. Thanks!
@@RebeccaEkwuruke is visale only for students who already has a french visa? Im more than 30 years old too.
Bordeaux ?
No, this isn’t Bordeaux. This is Nantes.
@@RebeccaEkwuruke ok Tink you

Thanks for watching :)
Hello Mam !!!! It was a great video .....you were too sweet ❤️ .
I wanted to ask you .....I will be coming to France in September 2021 specifically in Le Havre at Sciences Po.
So what is the amount of rent that I can expect with and without the Caf ?? I am looking for a slightly bigger room than in the video because I really think that I can't afford to shift directly from a Bungalow at my place to a 9 m^2 appartment .
Please do answer.....since I am planning my finances and other things
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching. If you prefer a bigger room, there are other bigger options available. I don't know the cost of accommodations in the city where Le Havre is located. However, a 18m2 studio at the University residence in Nantes cost about 350 euros/month without CAF. Though this cost could vary.
For the cost of the room after CAF, I can't know that because the amount of CAF you get varies depending on your situation.
@RebeccaEkwuruke
Thank you for your response !!!!
Upto what percentage can I get CAF .....50/60/70 ??
@@manaspawar911 Actually this is a very difficult question to answer. I can't know up to how much percentage you could get. But depending on your situation, you could pay as low as 30 euros/month or you could pay as much as 250-300 euros/month. It all depends on your situation.
@@RebeccaEkwuruke Thank you sooooooo much !!!! You're probably the kindest person I have ever met on RUclips ! And by the way HAPPY DIWALI to you and your family !
@@RebeccaEkwuruke Mam...on what basis is the caf benefit given ? On annual income of parents ? How much caf maximum can we get ?
Huh, laundry is too expensive...
