    Things is awesome tool. I gotta get one. I have a line out converter since i have a factory radio. Would i unplug my hi/lo level speaker outputs thats going into my loc and plug it into the dm rta to see where my headunit clips at and what volume i can safely turn it too? Then after i do that check would i jus plug the hi/lo level back into my loc and take my rca's from my loc and plug them into the input of the dm rta? Jus little confused where i need to plug my rca's in on the dm rta to set and tune my loc converter and have it generate a 40hz 0db test tone. Would my rca's still be plugged into the same place on the dm rta (the input) if i was using my radio/phone to generate the 40hz 0db test tone? Thanks

    I seriously need your help. Purchased the DM-RTA couple of days ago and arrived today. The rta device won't turn on. I thought maybe the battery is flat. Plugged in and the charging indicator led comes on. Tried to turn the device on again and nothing. After that I realized inside the device is a blue light that always stays on and is not going off even if i press the power button. Couple of minutes later i installed the app and tried to connect it to my Windows laptop and the usb/comm led indicator was blinking but device didn't connect because i can't turned on. Please help

    So say I tuned everything on my dm810 going out but can I also use this to set gains on a subwoofer amplifier using the subwoofer wire and the dm-rta oscilloscope and wire input?

      That’s how I’m understanding it

    • @AudioControlCar

      Yes, you can. However, the DM-RTA is made to accept up to 40v of input, so you wouldn't want to send more than 350-400watts to the input section of the DM-RTA. It is really designed to be more for tuning multi channel amplifiers, etc.

    Could I connect this to line outputs of a BT amplifier, and have this transmit a BT white noise signal to that amplifier to graph 25-20KHz and check for x-over attenuation, and the effect of treble / bass controls?
    How about THD?

    Also, using the microphone - can you measure phase between two sources? Say 60Hz from floor speakers vs subwoofer? (determine if a sub is in phase or out of phase, and by how much (e.g. a value beteen 0 snd 90 degrees)
    Or even the delay between the generated signal, and the sound pressure picked up by the mic. (distance calculations)

    So you have training videos for the DM-RTA?

    • @AudioControlCar
      @AudioControlCar  5 лет назад +1

      We will be releasing a series of videos in the near future focusing on training for the DM-RTA. Each video will cover how to do a specific task using the DM-RTA unit/software. Keep an eye out for these soon!

    Not really an "Intro" video as you don't describe what you are actually trying to accomplish with this tool. For example, if I'm working at producing 5.1 audio for a video how would this tool help or not help? Does this unit provide TRS output to audio interface inputs which I could then direct to each channel and use it's mic to test individual levels? Right now, I just position a relatively cheap dB reader and use my PC to generate pink noise (or whatever sound I want) and then view the dB readings for each channel when output one at a time.

      Yes we have updated since launch. Please delete previous software you may have on PC or MAC and grab the latest off our website at bottom of DM-RTA product page to make sure you have the latest before updated firmware.

    will this connect to a chrome book ?

    • @AudioControlCar
      @AudioControlCar  4 года назад

      No. MacOS and Windows machines only as of right now. Chrome books run ChromeOS, which isn't quite windows, so therefore it is not compatible. We do support Android and iOS devices wirelessly though, in case that helps.

    Does the sine wave have different db levels for tuning head units and amplifiers? for example if i wanted tune to a 1000hz at -10 db ? thanks

    • @AudioControlCar
      @AudioControlCar  3 года назад

      Using the DM-RTA, you can actually output pretty much any tone you want. You can put out anywhere from 25hz to 20khz at anywhere from 0db to -48db. Hope that helps!
