Great job 👏 some people don’t understand how hard and mesmerizing the guitar parts are. If you could show some of us billy talent geeks that’d be cool, respect.
Thank you man :). What do you mean exactly ? Coz I'll be honest I think I am not a good "teacher" and making a tuto video of some kind is kinda of out my comfort zone. This song took a while to get it right. We all know our dear friend Ian like those jazzy chords and there's some slight changes here and there, little things that you don't want to miss (that damn open A chord in the main riff, the outro of the chorus when it's repeated twice can get confusing with the chords imo, and the solo isn't easy to get the right feel). And mostly there's definitely a vibe to the song that's hard to get (here I think I'm rushing a lot in some parts). Don't forget there's official tab of the song :). The tab is not perfect and there's some adaptation to do to play it like Ian (I am not 100% accurate here): billytalent.com/coftabs/
Bro, that's pretty damn cool! Tell me, please, the model of your guitar, it looks really cool, I would like the same one. I read the comments and understand that you installed the pickups yourself, so I'll ask you to tell me about the full set
Hey :) it's a Mexican 72 reissue deluxe telecaster with the special sparkles finish they did in 2012 when I bought it. I made several changes along the years. I think in this video it's still the stock pick up in the bridge which I've now upgraded with the Cunife widerange humbucker which seemed to me to have a slightly lower output but muuuch more clarity. Really a mix of a single coil and humbucker of some sort. The neck pickup is a Sustainiac as I was a big fan of Muse and dreamt about having that pickup :). Really cool effect and sounds amazing on its own too.
@@MusophyleThanks, bro! Good luck to you and keep delighting with content! And please tell me what the two switches above the pickups are responsible for.
amazing playing man. i'm seeing them live tomorrow night and i can't wait. really fell in love with the new album (that i only just discovered a few weeks back - shame on me) and the riffs are so so good. glad i found this video, this will help me play the song myself. keep on rocking man
Hahaha I really need to get back to it but I'll admit I was a bit discouraged because it's so hard to get a good full take (I really think it's the hardest BT song ever on guitar). But now that everything is done except Forgiveness I... And thank you of course, you're very kind :)
@@Musophyle I agree with you. It has one of my top 3 favourite BT guitar tracks (probably the 1st one). I've trying to master it since its releasing, but I'm still unable to get a clean take. I encourage you to upload it soon. You're welcome!
@@zekuaran9634 It's easy in my top 5 Billy Talent song ever. It's such an amazing track and the guitar work is incredible. One day we'll both master the song on guitar :).
Thank you :). Those are indeed upgrade. It's graph tech saddles which I love and the pickup is a sustainiac (a pickup use a lot by Matt Bellamy from Muse and I always wanted one, it's quite cool).

Mec.
Thank you man ! Here I use a gigboard headrush gigboard with a preset that goes from clean drive to disto :). Cool pedal but needs some tweaking to make it work. Mainly it's a Marshall emulation. A bit harsh here in retrospect. I only use the bridge pickup here which is the stock fender wide range humbucker. The neck one is a sustainiac :).
What do you mean by tune ? I use a Headrush Gigboard. It's a Marchall emulation for the drive/disto and another amp for the clean part :). And all that with a IR for the "cab".
@@DooNotEnter I try to upgrade my presets all the time so I'm not sure exactly the settings here but if you happen to have a Headrush device at some point I'll gladly send you my presets because depending on what cabinet emulation you use or IRs the sounds change quite drastically :). I remember that for this song I use less gain than in the others to have a cleaner sounds but I think there's a bit too much treble here. IR is an Impulse Response that will replicate the sound of a specific cabinet speaker with a specific mic. So I have my pedal with a amp simulation that goes into a IR within the pedal and then I have my guitar sound. It's just a technology among many others and for the Headrush I think it sounds better than the cabinet emulation. I think Kemper for example use IR as well. I am not a pro into all these terms but I'll say I am very happy with this pedalboard :).
@@Musophyle i realize its long ago when i thought about These stuff😂 i have a fender mustang IV V2 with a multi pedal for 11 years with fender fuze on my Laptop to connect and record I dont even know what headrush device supposed to be i feel stupid 😂 Thanks for the Kind detailed answer bro. I know what you mean by always switching it a bit up. Depends on the song but for billy talent its usual to have higher treble and a good compressor
@@DooNotEnter Haha don't worry. As long as you enjoy your gear it doesn't matter :D. Ian definitely has a sound with lots of treble but still FULL BOTTOM END

Thank you bro :)
Кросавчег! Чётко, могешь, умеешь!
Amazing job brother keep it covering more BT songs!!!
Thank's bro, will make sure of it :)
Just great!
Thank you :)
Killing it, man! I’m finding the offbeat muted strumming between chords really hard to time but you’ve got it dialed in.
Thanks :) it's a challenge for sure, I think I am rushing it a little here. It's hard to make it groove (that A open string in the riff is a pain).
Great Cover
