Just bought the 500 series and love everything about it!
Looking at these now... and it was great to be able to see one in action. I like the "no flare ups" and the way it vaporizes the drippings into smoke. Very much leaning in the Saber direction.
Thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
3:02 great Hank Hill impression
Porcelain firebox? Is that porcelain on stainless or mild steel? If it's mild it's just rust out in a few years like every cheap bbq I've owned.
Porcelain on mild steel.
@@BBQGuys Damn shame, resulting in a BBQ that will be worthless here in coastal NZ within 5 years. That's a no from me then...
How does the Saber griddle compare to the Little Griddle?
We don't have any experience cooking on the Little!
What happened to Saber Grills?? I haven't seen any video from them for the last 5 years
I'm thinking about purchasing this grill but wanted to ask how much smoke it created. Is it similar to non infrared grills? I'm just concerned about too much smoke even though it does lower flare-up.
It creates a bit more smoke than non infrared grills in my opinion. Are you in an area you could install a vent hood?
@@BBQGuys no unfortunately not. But from your experience is it a lot more smoke?
Something greasy like burgers will produce the most smoke. I would recommend finding an area that you don't have to worry about the ventilation, a conventional burner grill can also smoke you out in a partially enclosed space with no vent hood. Can you orient the back of the grill to an open area?
Wow, not bad for a gas grill, impressed with all the 304 stainless...this ought to last forever....
Yeah, we really enjoyed cooking on it.. nice to get such smokey flavor on a gasser.
How does it compares to Char-Broil infrared Grills
The cooking system is pretty similar, but saber uses better materials in their construction. I used to own a Char Broil years ago and I liked it, just didn't last as long as it should have.
Thank you. I will start with the Lowes commercial by Char-Broil since it’s on sale for a few hundred dollars. Again thanks
*That's and awesome grill.*
We agree Ray!
BBQGuys.com it is my uncle has one it's one of the higher end brands of Char-Broil I know that I have info on your website a lot of their hiring commercial grills under the Char-Broil brand share similar design its really well-made grill though I have used it and recommend it
wow, what about the temperature in the grill?
Are you asking how hot it gets?
yep~
Results could certainly vary depending on your ambient temperature and amount of wind, but in our testing I would say preheated on high you can reach the 750F range.
Looking good Rando!
Thanks :)
Walk away, run if you can.
I bought one they had to deliver 3 to get one without significant QC issues.
Have had the grill for 4 years and it is rotting out. The Weber it replaced I had for 26 years.
Saber is owned by charbroil. I wouldn't give Putin a charbroil grill, even he doesn't deserve that.
My advice, look elsewhere.
