I have an amazing *gtdupe* story! Living in Switzerland in the deepest winter my bag was stolen on the train, whoever stole it just grabbed the cash and threw it out. 3 mi the later when all the snow melted some teenagers where walking by train trams and saw the bag and took it to the police, still had my ID inside and they called me so I could have it back… the bag was STILL in perfect state! Even after being in the snow, ice and rain for 3 months! I cleaned it and still use it to this day. I was amazed at the quality!!!
Love the FSH store. It's amazing how "rare" these bags are and yet every time I've visited the store, in they come with a stack of quota bag boxes. Congrats on scoring your dream bag, Dayle!

The VIP room and the area outside with the clothing racks looked very stuffy and dated to me, like how you described the bags with the felt protectors. The Hermes stores I've been in have looked more modern. It was nice to see clips inside the store. I don't think I've ever seen that in all the Hermes Paris videos I've watched. A very slow and painful recovery but I am getting there. I'm a tough cookie.😁I have a 6 inch incision where of course they had to shave my hair. I told my neurosurgeon please be kind as I haven't got much hair to lose.🤣 She laughed with me and she did a very good job I must say. 😁 Yes I would rather be spending my money on bags but it is what it is. How are you going ? You are not a weirdo at all or perhaps we both are when it comes to bags. 🤣We don't have any luxury designer stores in my city but a couple of weeks ago LV set up a pop up store in the city which closes 28th Dec. I am really hoping I get to go and have a look and perhaps buy a little something. 🤞 XX

But that being said, you’re an ideal Hermès ambassador. Hermès should be privileged that a professional woman like you wants to carry their bag. You’re at the peak of your career you have tremendous purchasing power. That’s what these brands are looking for.

OMG I love this story so much, I think I would have reacted the same way, I am not really after an Hermes bag at all, but if I was in Paris and was fortunate enough (though I know in your case it wasn't all luck, it was hard work and dazzling charm!) to be offered anything, I would totally throw some ideas out there, lol! Not that I could afford it 😂 But a girl can dream! So excited to see what you got!
My advice, get a friend with an appointment and get a AMEX platinum charge card ha ha. then worry about it later!

I agree with you 100%. I never played the Hemes game. By having a nice conversation with the SA, I was offered a bag. Not once but twice. In both San Diego and France. Never even made an appointment just walked in. I believe it’s being relaxed and not anxious to get it back.

Good story. And I agree I was recently in Louis Vuitton with my friend,. she has bought over $30,000 worth of fine jewelry It was VIP straight from the get-go. But that being said, you’re an ideal Hermès ambassador. Hermès should be privileged that a professional woman like you wants to carry their bag. You’re at the peak of your career you have tremendous purchasing power. That’s what these brands are looking for.
