@@DaylesAddiction The thing the fashion houses loathe is people who flip bags. They became convinced you were not one of them. You did that by being natural and not pretending to be someone you are not. They have a bs detector and the harder people try the harder they resist. I've heard of people dressing top to toe in Hermès to try and score a Kelly or Barkin, pretty ridiculous!
I have an amazing *gtdupe* story! Living in Switzerland in the deepest winter my bag was stolen on the train, whoever stole it just grabbed the cash and threw it out. 3 mi the later when all the snow melted some teenagers where walking by train trams and saw the bag and took it to the police, still had my ID inside and they called me so I could have it back… the bag was STILL in perfect state! Even after being in the snow, ice and rain for 3 months! I cleaned it and still use it to this day. I was amazed at the quality!!!
Dayle you are so funny! In the end, you charmed the SA enough for her to tell you that she took the time to select the perfect bag for you! That’s a whole lotta charm and a person who is truly comfortable with herself! Bravo Dayle, congrats on the bag! I also respect that you always put Meredith front and center in your behavior and your thoughts on the way to and inside Hermes. You, Dayle, are truly a very good friend! ❤❤

While I was listening to you, my mind was picturing those desperate souls lying in bed with their nervously palpitating hearts the night before their appointment, reciting all the leathers and all the color names of this absurd brand just to be super duper prepared and not to make any mistakes (like at their most important exam ever) and wanting to prove to be worthy of being allowed to overspend... Gary turning his back on you was too funny… he’s like “Ooh the traitor” 😆. Nothing in your tale, or Meredith’s, makes me want to visit that store but I guess it’s over now and you can both breathe easily. I think you’ll actually enjoy the bag and it might be a bit of a surprise to you.
It was a crazy experience to have, glad we had it together but it doesn't make me want to go back again, that's for sure!

It just shows that even if something is very unlikely to happen, it’s still possible. And honestly, it‘s just nice to see how you two were a team and in the end everyone benefited from it. You did the relationship building with the SA for Meredith, she got a dream bag and as a result of all of this you got one too! What could be better?

OMG I love this story so much, I think I would have reacted the same way, I am not really after an Hermes bag at all, but if I was in Paris and was fortunate enough (though I know in your case it wasn't all luck, it was hard work and dazzling charm!) to be offered anything, I would totally throw some ideas out there, lol! Not that I could afford it 😂 But a girl can dream! So excited to see what you got!
My advice, get a friend with an appointment and get a AMEX platinum charge card ha ha. then worry about it later!

The clip at the end...ha! Oh, I love this story. And I love that you both told it on your channels because we get such different perspectives. The VIP room and the area outside with the clothing racks looked very stuffy and dated to me, like how you described the bags with the felt protectors. The Hermes stores I've been in have looked more modern. It was nice to see clips inside the store. I don't think I've ever seen that in all the Hermes Paris videos I've watched. Gary's reaction after your appointment was perfect. Can't wait for the unboxing. I'm so happy for you both!

Very exciting for you. Can’t hate on you, you just have VIP friends. Sometimes it’s just timing. If you weren’t with Meredith you wouldn’t have had that opportunity unless you scored a lottery appointment. Take it for what it is and ENJOY! Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.
And I was going to do the lottery just for kicks... didn't have to because of the VIP in the relationship and wow was it fun.

Yep, it’s the subtle magic of the Birkin. I thought I was going to be a Kelly girl when I had one chance to buy one (preloved of course). But I found a Birkin in the colour I loved and discovered that it is in fact the better bag. Still ridiculously expensive but more usable.
Very usable, not that I really have yet, but I feel definitely more me, I like the more relaxed nature of it.
Good story. And I agree I was recently in Louis Vuitton with my friend,. she has bought over $30,000 worth of fine jewelry It was VIP straight from the get-go. But that being said, you’re an ideal Hermès ambassador. Hermès should be privileged that a professional woman like you wants to carry their bag. You’re at the peak of your career you have tremendous purchasing power. That’s what these brands are looking for.

OMG Dayle I finally went in Hermes. It was such a drag. 🙈The store was pretty empty, but the sales staff were not very welcoming. Just a super awkward experience in general. I do love their scarves, but yikes. Such a shame after being spoiled in other shops. Thanks for sharing your experience! I'd like to get an Hermes bag eventually, but I'm nervous after just thinking about broaching the topic with an SA haha!
