By the time you factor into buying everything (rtw, shoe, fine jewellery etc) to get their bags, including non quota bags. The bag is not an investment. I think just buy things that you love to use is more important than getting suck into thinking is an investment. 😊
I have an issue with how we as consumers who actually pay the money, act like we are at the mercy of the employees who don’t do anything but sell us the items…everyone should just treat each other normally just like we enter any other store to purchase items.. it has become too much. There have been SAs who act like butts and instead of me wanting to buy something I decide not to spend my money and give them a commission…
Yes...some of my friends feel the same way and instead went through the resellers route. It can become exhausting or tedious for some to go on this "journey".
Hi Kity, Your video was very informative. Thank you ❤ I have a question and hope to have you opinion. I first bought some fine jewellery a few months ago. Last week my SA contracted and offered me a Picotin, even though my wish is a Birkin. By taking the Picotin now, do you reckon that I will need to build up my pre spending again for the Birkin, or the Picotin is a part of the pre spending? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the tips! I just recently started by Hermes journey (and will be sharing here on YT) so certainly found this video to be very helpful and informative.
I really like a birkin in neutral colour ie Craig.Benton ,mushroom…but here in Vancouver,Canada I heard that the ratio for quota bag (whether you have good relationship with SA or so-so relationship) is minimum 3 to usually 4 and sometime can reach to 5 times.
Hi Kity, thank you for the informative video. I have purchased quite a lot of things over the years but I don't have a regular sa. The last one I purchased from didn't give me his number so I can't make an appointment with him so each time I drop by I get someone else and I normally spend a minimum of $2k when I come in. Any tips on getting a regular sa? Thank you.
Yes! Again you just need to find someone you feel you are getting good vibes from...I mean they are all super friendly but of course try to remember them by name and you can ask for them again next time. Another thing is to say "can you help me out again next time?" Or "thanks for looking after me today, can I come back to see you? Which days do you normally work? Do you have a business card?" Their business card has their email address and thats generally first steps until they start giving you their number. If you've been purchasing already they won't say no! 😊
Very helpful! I am from Australia too. One question, when is it appropriate to ask for SA contact details when you are a new customers? I have visited and purchased twice, each time I thought we had good interaction but each time no contacts volunteered which is different to my experience in other stores. I am a chatty person and usually SA will just give me their contacts in other stores….
Hello! Thanks for dropping by! All the SAs in my store have name tags so just make a note of their name and next time you go in you can ask for them again. You just then can say "you helped me last time so I hope you can continue helping me again" and of course they won't say no! This will show you are a repeat customer! Another way is...sometimes the item or sz I want is out of stock so you can order it and just let your SA know to contact you when it's in so you can go collect it. That way you are offering up your number. Always remember they might already have a handful of clients all wanting a quota bag 😂
The fact that an SA at Hermès whose annual gross earning maybe less than some of us who earns just in a month or even a week, but manage to make us feel small and grateful when they offer us a bag that we have to pay for is just not right.
Hey! I saw on another Australian youtuber that she was able to get a sellier birkin in store! So they definitely do sell Sellier in Australia! Hope this helps 🙏
No way would I buy at Hermes and go through this ridiculous and humiliating procedure. After all I am the customer and find all this totally unacceptable

Agree Nikki! But telling my husband is an "investment" makes it so much easier to accept! 😂 but I do also love all the other items I have 🥰

Even if they get their commission. You still won’t guarantee a quota bag.
Thank you for this very concise and informative video 😊

hi Kity is it true that Hermès dont sell birkin sellier in Australia?
Helloooo! I am not sure of this...I don't think it's true because my SA did ask if I preferred sellier or Retourne twice in the past.
@@KitY.s2s i asked my sa about sellier she said Hermès dont sell sellier in Australia so i confused why as i already bought something that day
