Some butter, cinnamon and sugar. My mom made the best pie crust on the planet but alas she has even started buying the refrigerated crusts.
I am a decent baker and meal cook. Baking is a science. That’s why measuring is important. I don’t care for dump cakes which is basically what that apple crisp is. There’s alway too much dry powdery cake mix on top. I could see it on yours. I will definitely be making the cinnamon cookies. Thanks Amber

You can also make a tasty pumpkin pie spice bread wuth that cookie dough....just put that batter in a standard greased and floured 9x5 loaf pan ...not sure about the baking time and oven temp, but 350 degrees F. and bake for an hour sounds like it might work okay.
All of them look so good, I am going to make the apple one first for a gathering we are having, too easy not to! I wanted to mention something about the pumpkin puree, our Vet advised us to give our little Zoe (toy poodle) a teaspoon full daily with her meal. Apparently, it helps with their digestion and gives them extra water if that makes sense. Anyways, she loved it and would not touch her bowl of food until that pumpkin went in....it was always so cute to watch her being so patient! We lost her a year ago and still miss her terribly! Oh and what we did when we opened the can, we divided it into 3 small containers and froze 2 of them and used the third ....you get the picture. That way it was always fresh! You brought back some wonderful memories when you mention your little fur baby loved pumpkin!! Thanks for sharing, you always make me smile!
Cooking is an art and baking is a science. Lots of chemistry in baking. The cinnamon pinwheels reminded me of my youth when my mom would make pies. She would always take the leftover pie dough and press it out into a pie pan and then sprinkle it with cinnamon sugar and bake it for me. So yummy! I have never made the cake mix cookies before but I have heard a lot of people have done them and they're quite simple. I like the idea of the pumpkin spice ones and you can't get any simpler than a box of cake mix and a can of pumpkin and some chocolate chips cuz chocolate always makes everything better. I am a single person and when I grew up I baked more as a kid. I would mainly do things like me cookies or cakes and the cakes would usually be from boxes but the cookies would be homemade. I never got my mom's snack for being a good pie baker but I can cook quite a few simple meals nothing too extravagant but I can definitely feed a crowd and everybody always seems to like it so I can pretty much make anything in a crock pot or like I said you're basic comfort food like baked chicken or a roast or of course being in the midwest I can fry up a burger or a steak pretty well. I had a stroke 8 years ago so I cook a lot less now and I have to find tools to help me with prep because I lost the use of my dominant arm so I have come to rely on choppers for cutting vegetables and my stand mixer for mixing ingredients together. I like my Crock-Pot and my KitchenAid stand mixer but I have yet to join the instant pot craze.
My KitchenAid mixer and Air Fryer are probably my most commonly used items. Then the next one would be the Crock Pot. Honestly, I rarely even take the Instant pot out anymore!
I went to the store the other day and not only are the cans of pies filling smaller they cost $7 a can! so you would need 3 cans alone to make the apple crisp and it would cost $21 for the filling and $2.00 for the cake mix plus the butter. Those recipes look yummy!

Looks good as always. My mother would use her leftover pie crust (homemade)😁 to make the pinwheels. Having five children nothing went to waste. We loved those. I'm 63 so that tells you how long I've known about them. Love to see that others know about them too. 💜😊
The apple crisp recipe was actually on a Duncan Hines cake mix box in the 70's called Dump Cake. It's also really good with cherry pie filling and white or yellow cake mix.
I have made the apple crisp and the pumpkin-spice cake one. The pumpkin one I made as muffins but I think I would like them as cookies more. The muffins were really hard to tell when they were done because of the thick moistness of the batter.
I have used carrot cake mix to make the pumpkin cookie recipe, they are also delicious. We make the apple cobbler (or sub canned peaches for peach cobbler) in our Dutch oven when we camp, it’s always a delicious treat.
I'll definitely be making the apple crisp and add cinnamon too it (without measuring 😄). My dad use to make a homemade apple pie (my favorite) and always added a good amount of cinnamon 😋

Yes I agree. I think if you want a traditional pumpkin "spice" then the spice cake is good, but if you want it to be more mild, a yellow cake mix would be better.
Instead of pie crust use flour tortilla, brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, leave flat on your cookie sheet, 350 oven 7 to 10 minutes. You can break them apart or eat them whole. Super good!
I made recently a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread using the same ingredients as those cookies except you put it into a loaf pan and bake 50 to 60 min. from Catherine's Plates on RUclips. I love both baking and cooking. Enjoyed
Pumpkin Puree and canned Pumpkin for pies are the same ingredient. There is no difference. So many people keep thinking that they are different, they are not.
I'm a very cook and a terrible baker. Baking is precise measurements. I'm not great at following a recipe. I use a recipe as a guide. My mother was an excellent baker and a terrible cook. She told me she didn't like to cook.
