I love Hans' work, and have since I first heard his opening theme for A League of Their Own, followed by his stellar work in The Lion King. I know Hans is best known for his action movie scores, but I think his work outside of that genre is very interesting. (His action movie scores tend to blend into each other. His main theme for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl was already played, note-for-note, during a Gladiator action sequence three years earlier.)
