This video was fantastic and I can’t thank you enough John. It took me three viewings ( and I suspect I be back 😊) but before this lecture I could only see the blob on the horizon, but after it I can now recognize the Boat! Thank you deeply for changing my perspective to now see the Boat🙏

This was one of the most illuminating lectures I’ve ever seen in my life. I’ve been reading all of the dialogues of Plato over the last 12 months and have been struggling with all of the points you brought up here and I finally feel I’ve made a huge breakthrough. And honestly, this has helped with some of the holes I feel my extensive reading of Nietzsche punched in a few years ago. Thank you so much.

This video was also tremendous helpful in knowing how to act and see the world when you go back into the cave, as it’s something I have been struggling with for a while. If I understand correctly, as Socrates said, there will always be the Good and the Bad, all someone can do that goes back into the cave is try to point people where possible to different entrees into the Good as you can’t force any Soul there. Please tell me if I have understood this correctly or if I have missed any important points? Many thanks again John, your work is life changing imo🙏

Yes, I think the basic point you make is right: all one can ever other another is an invitation--you cannot force someone to see things as you see them.
