I never made a real facebook account let alone used it and I was forced into google+. Damn good thing I never used my real name creating google accounts years ago, they wouldn't let me hide it or obscure it now it if I did.

The only reason Google+ is so prominent is Google keeps forcing you to use it with their other services.

Google does not force you to use youtube. Why not use Vimeo?
